No, I'm not. No respectable woman would take a meeting in a man's hotel room. It puts him in a position of power. Smart women select the location and take control. |
Did anyone listen to The Daily today? The actress they spoke to was incredible and so poised. Harvey Weinstein was a sick f$&! |
Yeah you sound really...I'm just going to say it...Stupid. This is how this guy did business, he was the most powerful man in holly So if you wanted to meet with him this was the only way. These women were not in a position to "take control". |
Lots of interviews are done in hotel suites. I did an interview with the FBI in a hotel suite. |
1. He was a huge deal. There is no way these aspiring actresses could set the location. 2. I have a friend who works in the entertainment industry and is is very common practice to meet outside of the office in all sorts of places. 3. Did you know a lot official on campus recruiting interviews actually take place in hotel rooms? I guess if women at top business and law schools participate in that it's their fault if something happens? |
+100 |
Ugh now someone has come out about Ben Affleck. |
That TV reporter met him in a restaurant at a group dinner. He cornered her alone and masturbated into a potted plant. By your logic I guess she shouldn't have been at a group dinner at a restaurant? |
It's also an industry where public meetings present a fairly high risk of being overheard and having upcoming projects leaked. Lots of celebrities conduct their interviews in hotel suites, too. |
Yep. When I was a student at Harvard Law School, I did interviews with major law firms in hotel suites. |
Our entire law firm recruitment week was done in hotel rooms. It was bit creepy having to meet with two guys and describe my career interests in a room with a king-size bed, but it was not optional if you wanted a job. As an older law student, who had been sexual harrassed on the job prior to law school, I wasn't comfortable with this, but Georgetown career services thought it was A-OK, because they arranged it, so I was in no position to complain |
Affleck is a pig too. https://www.thecut.com/2017/10/hilarie-burton-says-ben-affleck-groped-her-on-trl.html |
There needs to be a Federal Investigation into the rampant sex crimes in the entertainment industry. And I'm not even referring to the porn contingent. That's a whole different thing.
I'm referring here to just plain, basic Hollywood that needs to be investigated. We need to know if female actresses can get jobs without getting sexually assaulted. Why not? |
It's been this way for ages sadly. My theory is that the extent to which men in Hollywood used and abused Marilyn Monroe contributed greatly to her downfall. |
True, but why aren't we demanding a federal investigation of the industry, now that we know how widespread the crimes are? |
