Hush on skin tone. Got it. Red Line attack-take 3

Anonymous
Wtop is saying it also has the photos on its website.

Are they the SAME perpetrators the hopeless inept Metro Transit Police had detained, and then released?? ...Because "their identity couldn't be verified"? Is this correct procedure? Who trained these 'public servants'?

Where is the video of the police questioning the criminals?? How many moments did it take for these police to determine that the perpetrators should not be taken to the police station until the victim himself was given the opportunity to identify his brutal attackers who forever changed his life as he knew it?

Does the DC Transit Police Department really want these criminals punished, or not? I think not.

The man who was beatened is still unable to return to his job. He got himself a concussion and a broken jaw at the hands of these criminals, while other commuters on the train car looked away. Have any of those sorry asses(?) come forward to report what they saw? Please don't think they "didn't see anything" as the savages were pounding the defenseless man in his head and in his jaw. About how many people were on that train? This crime happened during rush hour on Washington's red line Metro train.

This should have never been allowed to happen on the Metro system. Why is there apparently zero security on the Metro? Why didn't anyone pull the alarm? Was it "not working"?

Who authorized the release of the perpetrators back onto the streets of Washington, only to continue their lives of crime to brutalize yet more of us?

Mind you there are no warrants for their arrest. They are only "persons of interest."

Don't think you can't be their next random target. I hope some onlooker has the guts to help you before you get beaten to a pulp, and paralyzed for life.

This is exactly what happens all too often in DC when you think you're 'relatively' safe, and the authorities will come to your defense.

Bring back those red baret Guardian Angels to do the job that our local government refuses to do. Our safety on Metro is a basic right that we must demand.

Someone please post the www.wmata.com advisory "MTPD Seeks to Identify Persons of Interest". Thank you.

The victim deserves some justice, don't you think?

Ah, youth.

Isn't the thug drinking from the Big Gulp committing a ticketable offense in Metro? You'd think that Metro police would at least pick him up for that!

Metro security is a joke. I'm scared if the shit hits the fan we are screwed.

The perps in this crime got away because the Metro police are incompetent and lazy.

I hope the victim sues Metro and wins a ton of money. Maybe it will get Metro to up their security. I will never ride Metro again after this latest fiasco.

No mention if the beaten man has recovered from the concussion or broken jaw.

Trying to make sure they get the RIGHT people and avoid getting double-sued by people wrongly arrested AND the victim.

This metro attack is currently their lead story, with a fascinating twist. Ironic how my trusted NPR has reported nothing about this crime.

Thank you for the reference; the article is a must read:http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/12/dc_npr_family_another_victim_of_black_violence_and_denial_.html

That's great. So what do conservatives propose other than "telling the truth"?

Or is this just "those Blacks are just sub-human, they're incapable of acting like civilized people" claptrap?

There's segments of White society incapable of acting like civilized people. What's the point?

1. Why didn't the police take the probable perps to the police station to at least get correct identification on each one of them? Name, address, etc.?

2. Why didn't the police allow the victim to identify his attackers?

3. Why didn't the police question witnesses, as to who did what? There was a train full of people, for God's sake. So what if everyone didn't see the same thing. You still have to interview the witnesses to the crime. Come on, that's Criminal Justice 101. Don't we all know that?

Does anyone in DC government even care?

I propose immediately holding criminals accountable for their crimes. And you?

I'm fine with that.

I hope you're fine with holding criminals in a uniform accountable for their crimes too.

Metro aka WMATA is not DC Government.

Todays Metro section says Muriel Bowsers proposal from this summer to equalize transport crimes (i.e. raise penalties for perps) is still foundering before our Council. Apparently she is pushing a tough on crime bill and some other Councilmember is pushing one of those 'more social services to prevent crime" bill. Whichever path you support (or both) they need to get their acts together and put these ideas into action. Wmata is a separate entity but our Council should do.more than bicker. There is plenty they can do here. Contact them!

Apparently she is clashing with a Councilmember named McDuffie.

It's worse. People say that when Tony Williams became DC mayor and tried to sweep out the worst of the Barry hacks from the DC government, a number burrowed their way into Metro, which then began to take on some of the less attractive aspects of the Barry era concerning customer service, quality and work ethic.

Metro aka WMATA is not DC Government.
