I think they said staffing issues. |
| 31 or more day incubation period maybe more accurate according to a WaPo article. |

Here's how Ebola may spread here...

How many of their health care workers got sick from caring for Sawyer? 11. They also got the ok from the government to access phone records of anyone at risk to get their possible contacts. How many Americans will go for that? |
Probably just for diagnosis. It makes no sense for Ebola to be treated at hospitals like Inova Fairfax and Reston, when patients could be taken a few miles up the road to NIH, which is one of the four specially designated US treatment centers. |
So? Is a pigeon from the hospital parking lot going to get Ebola and crap it on your car door handle? |
Not too surprising given that the guy deliberately urinated on several of the doctors and nurses caring for him. |

The first nurse in Dallas is coming to the NIH in Bethesda |
How do you know he has malaria? The story hasn't been updated and I haven't found any additional information. Are you just assuming that shaking means malaria? |
WTF is this site? |
My sister is a nurse and her husband an ER doctor, here is how they explained it to me how it should work. A patient can be put in any hospital once they say they have symptoms, preferably in a negative pressure room. If the test is confirmed Ebola they should the be transferred to one of the 4 special hospitals because only those have the decontamination units for dealing with waste. All other hospitals do NOT have independent ability to properly store and dispose of waste (soiled linens and gowns, diapers, catheter tubes and bags, etc). This was a big problem in Texas and Spain. In TX, apparently they just piled the items in the corner, one on top of the other until it reached the ceiling, there was no where for it to go. In Spain, the woman was a nurse tech I believe, so basically a custodian of human waste. It was her job to dispose of the diaper. Hopefully the CDC is waking up and realizing all positive Ebola patients need to go to one of the 4 hospitals. But in total I think there are only 17 beds/units so if there are more than that at one time things could get complicated. So the Fairfax and Reston hospitals may be ready to see if someone is sick but in all likelihood if they test positive they will probably be transferred. |

I thought one of the doctors who contracted Ebola was flown to NIH.. and cured there.
And I live a few miles from NIH! |
A site for financial traders--they check into it constantly between their buys and sells. |
Lovely comments. I guess traders are also idiots. |
