Yes let’s obsess over skywalkers or some other club with real talent |
| Hi all! I am a D1 Women’s lacrosse Midfielder at Stanford University home for the summer and looking for girls who want individual or small group lessons! I grew up in DC and played for Visitation and Capital. I have many years of coaching experience, not only private lessons, but also with Capital Lacrosse and numerous other clubs in the DC area! I would love to work with your daughters, and am very well connected with clubs and coaches all over and at every level, and can also help with recruiting/development advice! Please reach out to me if interested: 301-656-0631 |

Anyone know anything about the MnD 2034 black team ?
I heard it’s restacking. Will be way more competitive next year and the year after. M&D is starting its process to pull the talent over.
what does this mean , restacking.. like not trying to develop their current roster - just replacing them with more talented players from other programs? is that generally how MnD operates at the elementary years? |

That doesn’t mean they aren’t developing the existing team and instead just bide their time and wait for the next best thing. I guess some clubs have an initial tryout of 8 year olds and don’t look beyond those 18-23 kids at all in the next 4-5 years. (Do they then cancel or not hold tryouts if no team member quits? Isn’t the point of tryouts that you welcome all comers and the best can earn a spot?). Many don’t behave like that, however. Just go on Instagram and look at all the elementary school aged teams aggressively advertising their tryouts and open practices. If you’re just locked in to your existing OG crew, you wouldn’t be doing that. Many teams want to pull in new players for various purposes. I’m sure a long list of the usual 2033/2034 suspects want to. |

Some will get pretty locked in to their group as they pull into their h.s. years. It would be rare to have it be a majority overhaul, of course. Most of the team year to year will continue to be developed along with the newcomers who have made the team. |
| Serious question. Why would some of the top 2033 or 2034 girls leave their teams and qualified coaches to go to M&D right now? |
| I do think most A-bracket 2033a2034 teams are looking to pick up 1-3 talented players, ad to why most of them are holding Open Practices. It feels like M&D is trying to flip the team and rebuild. That’s how I’m talking some of these posts. |

Most of the team year to year will continue to be developed along with the newcomers who have made the team.
I would expect the overhaul to be dictated by a) how well the team did the previous season b) how many new better girls they can get to try outs and/or convince to come In the case of MND 34, they finished 1-7 in NGLL, they got blown out by the top teams. I am sure MnD is actively trying to get a group of girls to defect from a better performing club in the age group. They can do this because of their name. If they need to replace the whole roster to improve the team, they will. I'm sure there some good girls on that team now that may stay. I would expect the same for the 2033 team, but maybe less so since they aren't quite as bad as the 34s? The other teams who won NGLL national championships probably still would add but the players would have to be really really good. M&D develops teams, not players. They will do this by adding each year and cutting the bottom 10%, not unlike how a successful business operates. They will say they want to develop the players, and that's true, they would love you to go down to their red team and continue to pay money to be on an M&D team. Nothing wrong with this and many girls will thrive in the environment. |

Yea , from what I have heard from a friend on the MnD 2034 team those girls have been delt a tough hand this year. Not much consistent coaching support, many practices with one coach or even parents jumping in. Apparently two moms helped run the winter sessions and they are just going to totally start over maybe, which is pretty crappy of the program. It surprises me because I feel like the MnD director truly values the kids and what is most surprising is they are now apparently rostering like 4-5 Broadneck girls for the next summer tournament, without even mentioning it to the current families. A parent took a look at the waivers and saw they had added all these players. It makes everyone a little upset, you have families spending money on hotels and travel etc. and now the subs will see even less field time. I guess that is just the main focus of a club like MnD , I mean they will want to win at all costs, but it is surprising the director is allowing it to happen. I get needing to reshuffle but at least put some support into the current roster.

| M&D 2033 Coach is telling everyone that certain coaches and players from higher ranked teams are coming. All false. Causing a stir on the team. No one knows what to believe. Or to stay or go. And what is he telling these new players? I’m not sure I believe in the M&D name anymore. |
| M&D is not performing well at the elementary school level. The club's days of dominance may be on the way out. |
| Lol, m&d with the clean sweep of middle school national championships, yet the program is done. You hoco losers are wild. M&d will get those underperforming teams up to program par soon, and we can come back to this thread when the college commitments roll in down the road. Are hoco’s parents really ready to risk their kids recruiting period on a program that has almost zero success, or go with one that has over a 1000 D1 players? Time will tell. |
| What is your obsession with HOCO? Your own players are concerned. |
| M&D with the clean sweep of NGLL National Championship. But no connection there. No conflict of interest. Hmmmm…. |
That is pretty crappy, but not surprising from M&D. To the poster who said they will be fine later on. Yes, they probably will but the players who were on these teams "early" hoping to ride it out are likely the ones who will be replaced and then either be stuck on their Red team or try to get on somewhere else on an already established team. |
