IAAM 2026

I don’t think either game is as close as predicted.

Maryvale is generationally good. The top 2026 based on the experts but I expect they also have the top 2028 as well. Mcdonogh keeping it within 2 in regular season is as close as anyone will come.

I predict running clock by 4th qtr.

Mcdonogh is much better than SPSG and I think this one is over by 3rd qtr too.

You may be right, just trying to keep it interesting McDonogh is far more vulnerable to a surprise upset than MV - but they really should win that game without a ton of trouble.

Best hope of having an interesting championship game will be if it's McDonogh vs. Maryvale. McDonogh has the best chance of containing MV's offense, though MV will still win. MV is just too deep and has done an excellent job spreading out their offense and empowering all their girls to believe they can step up and have an impact. Don't disagree about MV having the player that probably should be top 2028, though there's a particular 2028 with a bigger last who will probably end up getting the nod cause that seems to be how things are done.

Ha, fair point on the nepotism. Not saying they aren’t great players but it sure does break ties.

Personally, I don't think it should be a tie. MV 2028 has a large impact all over the field and can put up as many points on offense as nepo-pick. The other girls is a great player but is a lot more flash than impact IMO.

Agreed! Whenever we play her, she does not noticeably stand out. I only notice her because I am trying to watch her to see what the hype is all about.

The local player? Maryvale. The other player - Sacred Heart Greenwich and Primetime I think. Again - very good player - I could see top 15 - but not #1.

not gonna argue the #1 or top 15 thing specifically but see if you see her make any mistakes or bad decisions. I don’t. Parents aside, she’s a coaches dream. Highlight capable but never does anything dumb or selfish.

If you’re talking about the out of town player, I’ve often seen her waste teams possessions with ill advised shot choice.

Did they choose a replacement for Reese yet at MV?

They have not.

We can debate how great Reese is as a coach, but with that talent, legit anyone can lead them to a championship.

I think the key for MV is get someone with name recognition to keep selling kids to come there.

I do expect some 28s or 29s on JV to look at other options because it can be clear now that PT is just not there for them.

I’m sure there will be 2030s moving as well.

Probably waiting until the season is over and deposits for next year are in.

What are the predictions for tomorrow?

MVP - NDP

McD - SPSG
Anonymous
NDP will keep it respectfully for the first half but MV going to just be way too much here.

MCD similarly might take a half to really up away from SPSG.

Both will be over by 4th.
