"If it has an impact on thinking" = "measurable impact" |
Post was not about proving anything. Or convincing anybody. |
No. |
Somebody said "we can measure electrical signals." So changes can be measured. Electrical signals are in the physical world. |
Why not? |
If you need it explained then you don’t know what ad hominem is. Read this and then come back if you want to discuss it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem |
People do their own thinking. Gods aren't sending them telepathic signals.
|
Ha Ha. Good one. |
Apparently so. Good catch. |
Imagine this forum being the center to your life, and even calling people out because they don’t immediately post a rebuttal to another of your comments that is a carbon copy of a comment you posted weeks/months/years ago? Really bad way to live. |
Imagine making up random narratives about people you don't know for no apparent reason. Seems like you do enjoy your fictional stories. |
Gee "how uninformed can you be" sounds like a personal characteristic but you doubtless have 10 more terse rejoinders so let's not pack this with them. I just tied myself to the whipping post and am waiting for goblins and fairies to flay me. |
Imagine that you spend so much time on this forum that you track others responses and know when there's a repeat and then assume that it's the same person and never think that there might be a stock answer to some of the same old queries. |
Again, you fail to understand. Did you read the article linked? It appears not. "attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than the substance of the argument itself. " PP attacked the poster's knowledge on the subject being discussed. An ad hominem would have been to say "You are a typical libt*rd" or "You didn't even go to college!" or "Why should I listen to the opinion on god of someone who believes the earth is flat"? It's pretty clear. See the difference? I have the feeling you still don't. |
