I’m confused. If these guys were told they didn’t have jobs before tryouts why did the offer letters/emails come from M if he knew he was leaving and not C? 🤔

False promises re head coaches and assistant coaches is the trademark of union/FVU. If I had a nickel for every time CW told us one thing and then delivered another (3 years in a lies about who would be head coach and how involved the assistant coach would be) …. My understanding from what I have heard from Brave parents is that is typical in their system too. What these people don’t realize is that trust can make a family stay, but lie once and people try to find an honorable Coach/club.

I heard at least 1 of the 3 players that registered at Union for 25-26 has been released by Union in the 2010’s group. Looks like full speed ahead for ML and NM, great work boys!

Cw, bl, nm all live on everything they did when there were only 2 ECNL clubs in nova. They could say or do whatever they wanted. It didn’t matter if they lied to parents because they would win and nobody would care. It’s different now. They actually have to be accountable because of competition with comparable programs. Parents eat it up though.

+1. MYS Hat here. MYS realized all of this and that was one of the reasons they decided to leave it all behind and start new. Whether they actually succeed or not is up to them though.

They left for their boys program and killed any chance of ever being a top club with the girls again. Going to the 2nd tier league was a huge mistake.

+1000 Spot on!

The people coming on here to claim they left for any other reason are being disingenuous.

They were supposed to stay in an unhappy marriage with BRAVE? I think they were very fortunate for BOTH the boys and girls sides of their program in that they were able to 1) escape BRAVE, 2) Land - partner-free - spots in good, albeit, not top leagues for both boys and girls.

They went from a good ECNL club, to two failed mergers in as many years, and ended up in lesser leagues in both the boys and girls side…. Bravo. Unforced errors and bad decisions. It might have been necessary to get out of the Brave Union, but that was their fault in the first place. Don’t try to make it sound like the leadership are saviors, that leadership has single handedly ruined a strong club and need to leave.

Anonymous wrote:The problem with the ECNL is the coaches, and some parents, get so caught up in the winning and power. As a parent, I just care that my daughter is developing and that she is well positioned to play in college at the highest level her abilities allow. And the bottomline is that all this shadiness by clubs and jockeying for players just hurts the girls. It hurts the confidence of the girls who may ride the pine more now. And it hurts the team chemistry on both clubs. Coaching U16 girls is more than running good drills. There are confidence issues and social issues.

It sounds like the girls at both clubs are now going to suffer in those areas because of bad decisions made by men at clubs that only care about profits and power.

All true. But really, why is anyone surprised that a business makes decisions based on money? Isn’t that how all businesses are run? I don’t get the outrage here. Are there people who think soccer clubs are not a business so they are surprised by this behavior?

BSC is a 501c3 non profit. Clubs that makeup FVU probably are too. But of course it’s in name only.

Nobody is doubting they are a “business” and trying to bring in money. We are criticizing them for making bad decisions for the club, decisions which will poorly reflect on the
money they are bringing in, the respect for the club, and decisions that ultimately make the kids who are paying the $$ want to pay another club with a better track record.

But sure, keep saying they are a business and want to make money like that is a revelation….
