Oh please, you can see that the officers aren’t exactly scrawny themselves. |
All he had to do was keep his hands to himself and show ID. No one is buying his sob story. |
He is not shoving, for the millionth time. When somebody grabs you, the body’s instinct is to react. Nobody can resist this in an instant. It’s impossible to stand and do nothing. I don’t know why this has to be explained. We were wired with survival instincts. |
You can hear him clearly identify himself early in the video. |
Watch the whole video, not just the selected portions on Fox News. He identified himself first, before he did anything else. He was immediately approached, which is when he physically reacted. This is all on video, for anyone to see with their own eyes. |
All Noem had to do was recognize he was trying to ask a question and ask him to give her a moment. Why is Noem so afraid of questions? She works on behalf of the American people and needs to be prepared to answer questions posed by the people’s representatives. |
He showed ID to enter the federal building and he was escorted into the press conference by FBI and the National Guard before saying “I’m Senator Alex Padilla” in the video. Everyone knew who he was. |
More Americans voted for Senator Alex Padilla than for 48 of the 53 red state GOP U.S. Senators combined. |
Shouting questions during the opening statement and advancing on the cabinet member. This is all acceptable?
Why didn't he wait until Q&A started. We all know the answer. He wanted to make the news. |
Why would he need to show ID? Noem knows him. He’s the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration. They work together, or maybe she’s not doing her job. |
Susan Collins is concerned |
Of course he wanted to make the news. I'm positive, though, that he didn't expect to be forced to the ground by armed agents. This is a whole different thing. Some Americans value our freedom, some clearly don't. We'll see where it lands, but this is only going to escalaet from here. |
And let's add that he actually did show ID to get in, even though everyone involved did, and if they didn't, should have known who he was. |
I think this was totally political theater but it has to be done. I think the public wants to see democrats fight for their constituents and that’s what they are doing and showing that they aren’t asleep at the wheel. Playing nice, professional, and logical is over and it’s been a failure. You have to fight dirty and get people emotional to beat MAGA. |
This is it. |
