Ridiculous that the Dem establishment wants a 77 year old to run for this seat, and particularly when there is a really awesome, younger candidate in the race and doing great in fundraising and across the state at meet and greets.

Agreed. This seat is ripe for the taking, as I think Collins has worn out her welcome. Might as well find a candidate that can serve more than one term.

Because they're unable to mint any new talent, the Dems are reduced to shuffling their older talent around between positions. It is exactly what they're trying to do in NC, where Roy Cooper is supposedly a shoe in to win by 30 points.

Susan Collins is 72. She’s hardly a spring chicken. I agree Dems need to build their bench but Janet Mills has a lot of name recognition and credibility in Maine and Maine is an aging state itself.
