Senate races 2026

At the rate things are going, with Gabbard and Patel, none of this will matter. We are in for the long haul with an authoritarian government that is now siding with Russia.

What? For Youngkin?

I'm not in Virginia, so it's not really my battle. But I do think the people there could do much better than Warner. You can replace him with another Democrat for all I care. Just seeing Warner lose his seat would be satisfying by itself.

Warner and my congressman, Connely are just happy and chillin at their seats and have no fear of losing it. Sometimes change is needed for congress people to perform better. May be some other democrat or republican need to challenge him .

You people are high. They're both great. I've not been happy with everything, and think they've been operating too much under the "old rules" of norms and courtesy, but they are the minority party with few options to do anything. What do you think they should be doing?

It doesn't really have anything to do with seniority, I just find him to be a slimy human being. It doesn't sound smart to keep reelecting the same sorry politicians every cycle. It sounds more like insanity to me. What has he done for your state that you find so satisfactory, or do you just keep voting for the name you recognize to help streamline the process?

That's a lot of words to say nothing.

Thankfully, Virginians are infinitely so much smarter than you and we do not throw out Senators with seniority. Only stupid people do that.

How does seniority benefit you?

Republicans 22 seats- 1 tilt dem, 2 tossups, 1 tilt R, 1 lean R, 5 likely R.

Once the impact of destroying the Federal Government and fired 75% of federal employees and contractors start to bite republicans could lose 10-14 seats in the senate.

Perfect if Dems have 3/3 of Senate and a majority in the House then impeaching Trump, Be able. And Johnson will be a slam dunk.

As much as I'd love to see Trump impeached and removed from office, do things really get any better under a President Vance?

We can impeach Vance too. He's already opined about his unconstitutional notion that the President can ignore the courts. That alone is impeachment worthy.

Dems will not win back the Senate in 2026. They should focus on winning back the House.

I guess you had the final word, which appropriately answers my question: What has Warner done for your state that you find so satisfactory?

Moderates need to go! They can join the Republican party. The Republican would fight not work with these people.

We are going to need to do something before 2026.

Absolutely, I’m tired of the Republican lites.

Some updates:

Mayor Pete isn’t running for Senate or for Governor in Michigan.

Shaheed in New Hampshire is not running for reelection.

Does anyone really expect we’re going to have legitimate elections again?

Sununu will probably run and fill Shaheed's seat.
