Anyone putting a list like together will have at least some biases. You may not like the guy but CM is as knowledgeable as anyone about all the HS programs and players around here, through his club program (his own guys and also the guys the play against) and he also is announcer for 1st Amendment sports and covers a lot of the local HS games.

So it's never going to be a perfect list but it's not worthless either.

Whatever you think of CM, his DMVlax analysis is actually pretty good most of the time. I don’t agree with everything he says for my son’s team, but his knowledge of the landscape for different teams is pretty impressive.

I don’t disagree generally - the team write ups are thorough and he would be in a position to know. It breaks down at the player level solely bc the guy can’t help himself from being either petty - e.g. deliberately avoiding mentions of players who “used” him and left for other clubs, or nepo - putting his own very undersized and mediocre kids in the ostensibly objective team reviews. If you can navigate around that, it’s decent info.

So basically anyone that he mentions that is affiliated with ML immediately discount it.

It's fun to see the rankings and debate over whether it's right or wrong. And at least he is doing it, making HS lacrosse in this area relevant streaming some of the big match ups.

I think it's funny how much work the dcum crowd think CM actually does at ML. The ML coaches run the poll and do season previews, they know the top players in the area from playing against them and coaching them at Nike Nationals.

You're right, how silly of anyone to think that anyone in the history of employer/employee relations has ever sucked up to the guy signing his checks.

CM knows his stuff and this review is a little out of date with pre-season injuries and the depth charts. He's way better in this role than in active coaching.

“Disappointingly, they do NOT play Bullis, Landon or Prep in games which hurts them but we still expect them to win the WCAC”

CM still mad he got fired and players left to play for NL.

CM must make DeMatha Vs Bullis next thursday the DMV game of the week. This is going to be a nail bitter all game long. DeMatha is highly capable of doing big things this year after playing with Mcdonogh Starters all 4 quarters

I would agree here. I believe the team right ups are generally not bad, however, the individual player rankings leave a lot of questions.
On the player level, it looks like he does favor “his kids“. But at the end of the day, it’s all opinion. My opinion may not match his, so I take it with a grain of salt.

as a unknown scout, I went to DeMatha practice this morning and they looked completely awful. Kids could barely catch and throw, no depth at all, clear was utter shit, and offensive sets are terrible. If i was bullied, i am not worried at all about thursday

Anyone who knows the background on this knows CM has been down on Landon for a few years and from a parental perspective I can’t say I blame him. He is in a unique position though to act upon his parental rage in a way that reaches a lot of people in various ways which is kind of interesting.
