Dude for REAL. Any stagnation came at the hands of the democratic politicians in our state. Not hogan!! He’s a good guy. Don’t know about his pro choice views, will review. We need jobs jobs jobs!!!! |
A senator for Maryland is supposed to represent all of Maryland, not just some of Maryland. |
I have voted for Hogan in the past and will vote for him again.
He has proven himself to be a caring, dedicated, hardworking, and very responsible/ responsive public servant. He cares about Maryland deeply. Trone is a filthy-rich fat-cat who made his billions peddling alcohol but acts like he’s always done the right thing for the community. He basically purchased his seat by massively out-spending his opponents. Now all he does is hob-knob with other billionaire do- outings littering the senate. Sad truth is: Trone is all about Trone and his own inflated billionaire ego. |
Larry Hogan has promised to caucus with Republicans and block all of Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominees. |
I think you need to take a hint from the comments here and realize Democrats need to do better than yelling “he’ll caucus with Republicans” to try and sway moderates away from Hogan. News flash, we know he’s a Republican, and we still voted for him for governor and think he’ll be a great Senator. Why don’t you try to explain why Trone would be a better senator and what he brings to the table other than just being a Democrat. |
If you don't know why "He'll caucus with Republicans" is a problem, I don't know what to say. Governors, Republican or otherwise, don't confirm Supreme Court justices. Senators do. |
Sure. Trone will provide the 50th and deciding vote to confirm Biden’s Supreme Court nominees. Hogan will provide the 50th and deciding vote to confirm Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. Nothing a governor does is more important than that. There is no legislation good for Maryland Hogan would vote for that Trone would vote against. Everyone is free to vote for whomever they want of course, but if you’re a moderate Democrat, there really is no benefit to voting for Hogan. |
Who has a better chance of beating Hogan? Trone or Alsobrooks?
Hogan is a no for me. Don’t want him to confirm GOP Supreme Court justice picks. Also, he won’t say if he would vote to codify Roe. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/4516456-hogan-dodges-questions-on-codifying-roe-ivf/ |
In other words, Hogan would vote against codifying Roe. (This is not surprising.) |
That was my question, too |
+1 Hogan can be evasive about it because when he caucuses with Republicans and they have a majority, it won’t even come to a vote. |
Too much moderation and sense for a cesspit of extremism like DCUM! |
+1 |
To anyone reading this who hasn’t yet made up their mind: Hogan will vote for Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. Trone will vote for Biden’s Supreme Court nominees. That’s all you need to know. Please ignore the nonsense rationalizations put forward by the Hogan apologists and go into this election with your eyes open. If you want Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, vote for Hogan. Because that’s what you’ll be getting. Not “moderation”. Trump’s SC nominees. |
Would love to know Alsobrooks views on economic development for eastern shore and western MD. Once she’s done talking about her “historic candidacy”. |
