Why would he be in a random parking lot?

Anonymous
I have not read the thread but I pull over to take cell phone calls. i.e. I don't talk on the phone when driving.

I make sure to pull into a parking lot to make a cell phone call or to return a call (that someone made to me when I was driving.)

I will also pull over to eat a snack or have some water.

Why are you even tracking your husband?

Yep. And if I found my husband was tracking me, it would be a dealbreaker.

That's you. I always felt safer like if something happened to me he could be able to help find out where I went.

So paranoid.

Good grief.

This lady thinks in the very unlikely chance that she’s abducted it’s a good thing to have her husband track her, and she’s not paranoid? Sure.

Abduction? Why did your mind go there? I was thinking car accident.

It's plausible because he has a crazy wife who will go as far as track him

I don’t use tracking at all but it really does sound like, for some people, it’s become a pretty normal thing. I call DH around the time he is off work and that’s just part of our normal routine, not based in paranoia. It sounds like a good amount of people are using tracking in the same way.

His reasoning doesn’t sound that wild to me. I sometime linger in the car when doing errands to enjoy a coffee and a podcast alone

Sometimes I decompress in the car when I get home. I just listen to music before I head inside to the craziness of the kids and house. My DH is so trusting that he does not suspect I'm up to anything suspicious--and, I am not. However, someone else with similar behavior could be out in their car listening to music to decompress---while drinking/using drugs or whatever....

I used to tell my DH I was going to the gym and then go park in the gym lot and take a nap. We had three little kids and I needed to get the eff outta the house.

I do the same, plus sometimes I need to look at calendar, internet etc.

If everything else seems normal, I wouldn't think anything of it.

OP is there an update to the story?

You can’t take a sip of water and drive?

He stopped because he asks on a confernece call and needed to pull over because it was his turn to talk

I want to know how things are now OP

Sometimes I spend 20-30 min in the car after parking off-street before going into my apt.

Reasons have been:
-Finish a phone call
-Listening to a podcast
-Thinking about work or a big decision before getting distracted by home stuff

I can see myself doing this in a random parking lot instead of my off-street parking if I live in a house where my partner can see me park easily.
