Oakridge Principal

Oakridge also has some very dedicated, wonderful teachers who manage to stay on because they love the community, despite leadership issues.

An affair?

Between two same–level employees, or an inappropriate relationship between people in different levels?

Two same level employees. But it involved one of the parties being in the other’s classroom when they shouldn’t have been, students noticing, etc.

I heard about this. Sounds like it was pretty despicable behavior by the two teachers, one of who was married. But I don’t think you can blame the principal (and you can blame her for a lot)

Shouldn’t a supervisor of employees put an end to nonsense like this?

To two adults having a consensual (albeit scummy) relationship?

To carrying on in a classroom, witnessed by students (according to a PP).

Not married, engaged🥹. But your point still stands

I just dont get it how she's still there. I know this is a public forum, but theres no other school leader called out quite like her on here.

The student population is difficult and she’s willing to handle them. I think a lot of other principals would quit.

The student population is similar to many other schools in APS.

Yikes. If this is who I think it is that’s very disappointing. Can’t imagine teammates would be happy about that.

Ask people who work there, those schools also have challenging populations!

The principal is responsible for setting and maintaining the culture of the school. My understanding is the affair lead to children having a non-content area teacher in their classroom during instruction on a fairly consistent basis. It also napalmed some relationships/team dynamics in the building. Both of those fall under the principal’s responsibilities IMO.
