What are the most common ways women waste their 20s?

It’s moreso that men suck.

NP here and I hear this sentiment from other women a good deal. I truly don't understand it -- if men are so horrible and constantly derided, why be with them at all? Why not find a woman to spend your life with or be celibate? There are awful dudes out there, and awful women, but it doesn't mean you have to be in a relationship with any of them.

A lot of women make this choice once the societal pressure to marry is gone. I know many contented single women in their 40s and beyond.

Content, or philosophically resigned tontheir fate, or putting on a brave face?

Content. Men, on the other hand, cannot stand being single.

Lol, the delusion on DCUM. If you are even a moderately high earner, being single is by far the best state for guys: sleep with a lot of women, retain all your independence, and don’t worry about losing your money to divorce or child support, etc.

The incel phenomenon baffles me. When did it become a thing? I'm a single mom raising two boys. How do I prevent them from becoming incels?

Socialize them in coed activities and schooling from a young age.

Off topic, but the incel thing always fascinated me because believe me, these men are NOT involuntarily celibate, they are voluntarily celibate. They insist they deserve the attention of the top ten women without bringing to the table anything top ten women are looking for. At the same time, there are tons of women "in their own league" with whom they could be most fortunately coupled. But they don't want to look at the average, they insist on top ten. I mean I could have called myself an incel if I insisted that I positively absolutely want only George Clooney and no one else on the planet would do.

Yes, of the two sexes, it’s well known that men are the ones that have ridiculously high and unrealistic dating standards.

Didn't you also make the comment above about men who sleep around but won't settle down? If not, maybe you two guys should hash that out between you and decide which one it is.

If you don't want to procreate, then singledom is best for both sexes. Children are the only real motivation for marriage.

You don't see single, undersexed women going on a gun rampage because men of their choice wouldn't give them the time of the day. Or creating a movement online.

No. At some point they want a woman to be their mom and take care of them and wipe their a$$ when they are old and most woman are not sticking around for that if they are not at least a long term gf.

Do you actually think a woman cannot be haply without a man? I mean seriously, wtf. But yes, gasp, content.

Women seem unhinged when alone. Men less so. Both suffer from loneliness, to what extent is sensitive to their sex.

Men have higher sex drives on average and the typical man isn’t going to get sex regularly unless he’s in a relationship, while women have lower sex drives and can also get casual sex very easily whenever the itch needs to be scratched. Women also have larger social support networks while men are more likely to be friendless. Men definitely suffer from singledom more than women

Repeat after me: you are not entitled to a girlfriend or wife.

Guys are the ones constantly complaining how difficult the dating market it is.

Our standards can’t possibly be high enough to avoid people like you.

Any smart man knows this.

A few very wealthy men can get frequent sex outside I'd marriage or a long term relationship, but most cannot sustain that.

You don’t see women going online and talking about why divorce should be “disallowed.” I’ll repeat, men cannot stand not being in a relationship.

Men denigrate single mothers of all income levels and say that those women did not vet their partner enough.

Men proceed to complain that women’s standards are “unrealistically high.”

Which is it it?

Either way, it's a winning strategy for them. They say these things to lower women's sense of worth so women can lower their standards even further.

They would love for a single mother to feel bad about her ability to choose and just settle for any of them.
