Agree. Sad but true. Even great-looking older women don't look younger, they just look like a hot old. And everyone knows that the way to get what you want from middle aged women is to tell them how young they look. I'm a middle aged woman and I absolutely tell other women how young they look then act super jealous. The rule is: how old do they actually look - 10 = how old you guess they are |
| I am guilty of telling women how young they look, particularly when they tell me how old their children are. |
| 53, my 11 year old tells me pretty specifically, "you look 45 mom!". I actually think maybe 48? Light botox, usually wore sunscreen earlier in life, retin A, moisturizer, more salads and fruit, lighter more natural makeup, lighter hair as I aged, and genetics, my 87 year old mother looks about 75. Also my eyes are large and i have a heart shaped face and i think those features read a bit younger possibly. Perimenopause still sucks even if you look a little younger though! Equal opportunity misery. |

I'm 47 and look 47 if not older.
Age catches up to most women after about age 45. I think my face aged 10 years from ages 44-46. I noticed it in my friends as well. Before that most of us looked very similar to how we did at 35. The wham. I look old. I was always called "miss" in stores. Never heard "Mam" once. almost overnight (or within one year) it changed. Aging is weird. |
| I just saw a picture from a Xmas party and it's basically irrelevant if I look a few years younger. I still look like a genX and there were some millennials and baby boomers. They all fell right into their respective groups. |
