How did you get that from this post? |
What is your denomination? |
I belong to no denomination. I attend a Bible church --Sola Scriptura |
Hmm. I sense a lot of evil here. |
|
Heaven will be on earth, or on an earth, for those who are saved. Others will perish. There's a 1,000 year period during which I don't remember what is supposed to happen. The Bible says then, we will not have to work for anyone, and we will not be harmed by any animals.
Grew up SDA. Was then a JW bible study but dropped out. |
When Jesus was on the cross, next to him were two thieves. One repented, one did not. Jesus told the one who repented "Today, you shall be with me in paradise." If the person about to die is truly sincere and repents, believing in Jesus then yes, he is saved. But if it is just a "Yeah sure, I'll believe. Whatever" or"What can this Jesus dude do for me" rather than "What can I do for Jesus", then I would say no, that person is not saved because the motive is incorrect. This explains in Matthew 7:21 Jesus saying, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;"
Babies do not sin. They are sinless. Therefore, they are not cast into the lake of fire which is the 2nd death. I would also say the severely mentally disabled also do not have sin. This is a gray area.
Your state in eternity is based upon Jesus: accept him as Lord and you will live; deny him as Lord and you are condemned to be cast into the lake of fire. |
That is seriously phucked up. /a Christian and a minister |
In other words, interpret it yourself, or according to what your pastor says. maybe as good as catechism. |
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. --2 Peter, 1:20 It requires no special interpretation, no PhD in theology to plainly understand "Thou shalt not commit adultery." It does not require a denominational publication, a priest, or pastor to explain this. It is clear and unambiguous. |
Maybe you need to learn to read and comprehend English better because you misinterpret everything you read. |

So if this PP uses this argument,
…’if you do not believe in Jesus, you are condemned. Your name is not written in the book of life: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15’ … then the poor souls that loved before Jesus never had any chance at eternal life? Just because they were born before 2,000 year ago? - and the people that aren’t exposed to Christianity? Contemporary people (living on this planet now)? They are condemned to no chance either? Hmm. |

"What determines where each person will go?"
when the neurons stop firing there is no "person." No vapor escapes from the head at death. Anything that goes to heaven or elsewhere is immaterial, i.e., not physical. so why worry about this? Who made it up it the first place and why? No one has ever dies and come back to tell about it, so the only correct answer is we don't know. |
yeah -- it doesn't make any sense, but that doesn't stop people from believing -- especially those lucky few who have been exposed to Christianity; They can think they are going to live eternally because they have accepted Christ as their savior. I don't think they are thinking much about the poor souls who never even heard of him. |
You are a terrible person. |
You know what? I was raised as a Christian, but people like you turned me off of it completely. You profess to believe, yet you are hateful and judgemental and mean. People who hear you, read what you write, or see your behavior are going to want nothing to do with Christianity. Here is a non-Christian's assessment of how you are doing at modelling Jesus's love. According to your religion, Jesus advised his followers not to be judgemental, that only "he who is without sin may cast the first stone..." (John 8:7). Your score here: FAIL Jesus advised his followers to be "fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19), living/speaking in a way that would draw others to the faith, not put them off wanting to hear about it. Your score here: FAIL Jesus advised that "all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). Your score here: FAIL |
