Yes and no.

It’s mean to comment on someone who isn’t a celebrity capitalizing on fame.

Lena puts herself out there, and sadly she puts herself out there in low-cut, hypersexualized ill-fitting clothing.

If she covered her cleavage and dressed appropriately for her body and age then there wouldn’t be a problem.

Her Instagram pics are befuddling. Does she think that purple top at LRB looks good? She looks half-naked.

There isn't a problem. She dresses how she wants. That's no one's "problem."

Agree. Everything seems the same with her. I hate people who never miss an opportunity to remind us how they have some illness.

I’m no Lena Dunham fan, but your “illness” post is is pretty ignorant. I’m going to guess you do NOT have “some illness”.

DP but why is it ignorant to say that you dislike someone constantly posting about their illness for attention? Posting about something for attention vs. awareness are two very different things. Selma Blair is a good example of someone who handles this well.

Stop with the fat shaming, everyone. If you hate her because of her personality that's one thing, but STOP with the fat shaming, you're a disgusting lot of people.

What is the difference really? Besides the fact that Selma Blair is still conventionally beautiful.

Actually I have three, one of which is really big. But I don't talk about them all the time.

I don't fat shame her. But I thought it was disgusting how she accused some celeb at a party of fat shaming her when he wasn't. It was SUCH a bad look for her.

There is a whole subculture of young women who seem to revel in their illnesses. They often call themselves spoonies and blog on Tumblr. There are a few pretty predictable diseases they have, mostly self-diagnosed, like fibromyalgia, mast cell syndrome, myalgic encephalitis, and Ehlers Danlos.

Count me skeptical.

I don't care for her, but have no problem with her body.

I have Hashimotos, have gone through menopause, have joint issues, and have ended up with a similar body, even though I was naturally thin until my mid 20s.

Right. But, her body isn’t the issue. The issue is how she dresses and flaunts herself on social media.

Did you see the Instagram post where she’s wearing a lavender top in a cafe and her chest is spilling over and her shoulders are bare? Or the lingerie shots? It’s weird.

It’s summer. It’s hot!

Wow this is both fascinating and disturbing. I had no idea! Why do they use “spoonies” - what does it mean? I’m afraid to google!

I don't mind her body or her IG. I do mind her. She is a terrible person who claims to be bullied when many times she is the bully. From her sister to Murray Miller to sexually harassing/assaulting men, she has unclean hands. And while she has apologized when called out on things, she makes poor decisions then tries to be the victim.

And I am 54 and fat, and wear low cut tops in the summer because I am burning up and having hot flashes and sweating everywhere. So, I don't look like different from her.

I'm not posting that on social media, but I am also not a celebrity. Again, has nothing to do with her body, and no one is required to subscribe to her social media. Again, I don't like her, so don't subscribe or really care, but I think she has the right to show her body and post what it actually looks like, if she wants to. Fat people and people with problems have the right to flaunt their body if they want to.

NP. I know multiple people with MS who hate Selma Blair’s social media about her illness. They were going off about her recent bathing suit pic being inappropriate.
