Yes and no.

It’s mean to comment on someone who isn’t a celebrity capitalizing on fame.

Lena puts herself out there, and sadly she puts herself out there in low-cut, hypersexualized ill-fitting clothing.

If she covered her cleavage and dressed appropriately for her body and age then there wouldn’t be a problem.

Her Instagram pics are befuddling. Does she think that purple top at LRB looks good? She looks half-naked.

I hope she's under doctors' care for both her physical and mental health. She always seemed a bit fragile emotionally, and I doubt all that she's gone through recently health-wise has helped. She may always represent the overindulged millennial, but I hope she's doing well.

I understand why she may turn some people off but I do respect how she wrote about her hysterectomy and the fallout. I am her age and grew up with an "imperfect" body so seeing her on Girls had a really big on me. There are so many messages that come at women from a very early age that only thin, beautiful women can be sexy or loved and it was refreshing that she was baring all on screen, or in relationships.

I happen to be around Dunham's size. I admire her for wearing whatever she wants. I felt so sad when I read the thread about the lady who felt the need to cancel events because she was in double digit sizes.
