I'm sure you're relieved, OP! Just wanted to mention that I had my second (and last!) kid at 41. I nightweaned and suddenly had, for the first time in my life, insomnia and nightsweats, and my period became wonky. My health care providers surmised that the round the clock breastfeeding had probably been elevating my hormones and when I partially weaned they started to plummet and my perimenopause started. I started taking nighttime Estroven, Evening Primrose Oil and ZMA before bed and Bites during the day to help my hormones and sleep. But my periods have still been all over the place ever since (I'm 49 now) - long 45 day cycles, sometimes short 17 day cycles. This may be your new norm. That said, if you do feel any lower about discomfort or pain, do get it checked out - since I've hit perimenopause, I've had an ovarian cyst (resolved on its own) and fibroids (not causing any issues, a big one the size of an orange resolved on its own). |
^^ Vitex not Bites. Also want to add that my midwife suggested I supplement with Vitamin E for inflammation. I take that, too (for general health, also). |
| I missed a period earlier this year. I am 49 and chalked it up to perimenopause, but mine are now back to their 23 day cycle with a vengeance so I am wondering if it was the vaccine. The missed period was the second cycle after I received the vaccine. |
| You must have had the vaccine. I’ve heard countless stories like this. |

Most women I know had a weird period after the vaccine. The vaccine is designed to shock your immune system, so they did weird things. I had two cousins who said they are in menopause and they had theirs come back. I had a heck of a one and I'm clearly in perimenopause. Lots of other stories. My cycle returned to normal-ish.
I will say my entire life I was pretty regular except that for some reason most years I skipped a July period. Never figured out what that was about. |
| The Pfizer vaccine delayed mine. Also, my family's. |
I’m 36, got moderna in January and February and my periods have been weird ever since. More days of PMS symptoms before it starts and sometimes they come right on time and sometimes they’re 3-4 days late for no reason. I mention my age only because it’s definitely not perimenopause. |
