I missed the last thread, but think of the teenage boys, people! Poor kids just learning how to regulate their anatomy and then two ripe peaches walks by? What's the outcome here?

They stare?

seriously, teenage boys (and men in general) are not the ones complaining when women wear cheeky bikinis or thongs

+1. I have a teen son, maybe I should ask him if he can regulate his anatomy, and if not offer to police what girls wear via an anonymous mom's forum. I also have a now adult teen daughter, and I've never taken the opportunity to tell her how to dress.

I’m gonna start wearing a man thong to the community pool. Hey, don’t blame me, it’s in fashion and it’s just skin! (oh and some hair, yeah my butt is hairy)

Of course what I want is a swim skirt and tankini top, bit I'm ok with butt cheeks on other people!

I'm not if they sit in those communal pool chairs!

Because no one has ever sat on a toilet seat that someone else's bare but was on?

I usually stand. And put towel on pool chairs.

+1

If you want to wear a swimsuit with your cheeks hanging out, go for it. I don't wear that kind of suit because I don't find it comfortable, I don't really need people to see my butt, and I think it looks stupid (on everyone, really), but I'm sure someone thinks my suit is lame, too. À chacun son goût.

NP. I wear (somewhat) cheeky high waisted bikini bottom and my cheeks are not 'hanging out', lol. They are firmly in place ))

Wear what you want!!!

That said, my DH said it was super obvious that a couple of the younger moms that we'd never met were parading by him just to show off their bikinis. They went the long way around the pool to get to the snack bar to walk by DH and a couple of his friends. I'm one of those fat moms married to a hot dad....

Oh please. Everyone does not want your husband, I am sure of it.

No they totally circled like sharks because everyone knows the hottest men alive are married to self-described fat moms! It’s totally true. We all know it. Including bikini hos at the community pool.

LMAO!! Oh my god this is hysterical. PP I am so sorry for you that your husband is playing mind games to make you feel like you’re fat and he’s out of your league and soooo wanted by the women at the pool and even more sorry it’s working. I am very fit, wear bikinis because I work hard and look good, and I P R O M I S E you, nobody’s son or husband is on my radar at the pool. I am watching my kids, reading a book, or hanging out with my own husband and I happen to walk by yours I didn’t even look. Damn these men are losers. How dare they.

Unless there’s some weird dynamics going on at your pool or perhaps you’re in a pretty young crowd, agree that it’s unlikely the moms are parading for your husband. Even if he is hot. Sounds like your husband has a healthy ego though. My husband is legit good looking and in shape, both men and women tell me all the time. That’s great. But he’s oblivious and his focus whether at the pool or wherever, isnt on the other moms, so even if they were parading- he would either not notice or be freaked out if they were. Like really freaked out.

+1 DH is completely oblivious to other woman checking him. I love teasing and showing him off to the other moms who I know think he is hot.

Yeah, for a supposedly liberal area, a lot of people here are strangely puritanical.

I grew up in a beach town in Florida. People there don’t get “horrified” by what someone chooses to wear to the beach or the pool. Some people around here need to grow up.

Wear whatever you want at the pool, just know that sometimes people will talk about you if you're not wearing a normal bathing suit - this goes for the ugly skirted granny suits as well as skimpy bikinis.
