I have a friend who is an epidemiologist who says that vaccination rates are so high in our area that there is no chance schools will need to switch to DL.

Really? For kids under 12? If you want to believe that one then let me tell you about the bridge I have for sale. It is in California. It is golden. It can be all yours for the price of $1,000,000. Post back and I'll give you my contact info. We can have this sale done in a day!

And they had to send home a whole classroom of kids and the teachers on the first day. Same with ACOS. Don't know about FCPS.

Which school?

I have heard that every school hosting summer school has had an outbreak at this point so you would better off asking which school has not had a problem yet.

I am not even sure that is statistically possible. We still have only a handful of cases a day. Summer school has only been going 1.5 weeks.

According to the APS dashboard, there has been 1 case at Carlin Springs. That's it.

Public school parent but if this is true I will cry happy tears. A sign that mandated vaccines are around the corner.

Extremely believable anecdote when every private school has been full for months.

Let’s not throw around accusations that school is real life.

Good for them. Glad you chose your school well.

Did you meet her from summer camp and does she go to high school in Canada?

Not gonna happen. Even if we should lock down again, Mer’ca’s open for business, baby! Short of kids falling over in classrooms, we’ll never lock down again, and even then we won’t because the #Open people will just pass the buck.

+2. Although hopefully it doesn’t mean all the pain in the ass anti-vax parents come back to public.

The anti vax and anti maskers should go private or homeschool.

Private schools don’t want them. After seeing the foolishness of last year with some parents assailing administrations and their staff, Private schools now do a heavy vetting of the parents before you get an acceptance (or decline) letter.
