It sounds like you actually want to see curricula. There might be a rights issue there because it needs to be purchased. Either way you aren’t going to find what you’re looking for. |
That’s why she needs to see it. She doesn’t know what she actually opposes. So she’s gotta go pick apart lessons and curriculum for whatever looks “problematic” to her so she can say it’s CRT. ![]() |
But isn’t it taking their time away from paying attention to the caravan? |
What about emails sent TO teachers, and trainings
|
Public school teacher here. You should FOIA the teacher PD trainings and workshops that school districts are paying for their teachers to attend. Teachers do their own things in the classroom. Where the push for politicalization is coming from is the central office. It is evident in what programs & training they bring in for their employees. |
Most of the trainings are the intellectual property of the companies that create them. You can’t FOIA a paid product. Y’all are so dumb. |
Yeah please FOIA a bunch of stuff about sources of strength and try to claim it’s CRT. |
There is Virginia FOIA.
OP, I think what you want is the culturally responsive training materials for teachers and the anti-racism, anti-bias curricula being developed in some districts (at least FCPS is working on it). |
Culturally responsive teaching isn’t critical race theory and it isn’t a curriculum, it’s an approach to how you teach. Trying to FOIA culturally responsive teaching is like trying to FOIA rigor or high standards, it’s a mindset and paradigm. |
Yikes! Hope you're not teaching any children of color. |
Different teacher. Obviously she is, we all are. There are plenty of teachers in the system who don’t want to move toward equitable practices or actually ask themselves to challenge their own biases and how they show up in the classroom. They don’t want to diversify their curriculum; they think they’re being “forced” to teach a certain way. I mean look at that loser who spoke up and said he won’t use kids’ pronouns because of his religious beliefs. The system can only be upheld the way it is because a LOT of teachers prefer the status quo. |
Or you can be a responsible and active citizen. Even the handful of outlets that focus on local anymore, because that is a limited audience, have a finite capacity. |
Because some government entities don’t like people asking questions or rocking the boat. I’ve filed plenty of records requests and always get the most push back when it’s the worse news. |

Oh, your FOIAing universities? I wasn't aware that those went by school district. You do know that CRT is higher level legal academic thinking and NOT taught in elementary schools right? I mean do you really think elementary kids are being taught about the intersectionality of race. sexuality, gender and identity BUT not spelling? |
