Genevieve and Grace for twin girls?

Anonymous
They are both beautiful names but they don’t match in style at all. And they both start with the same initial which will be a problem in school with records etc.
I think you should concentrate less on nicknames and more on the long term aspect of the names. They will be comparing those names for a lifetime. Why Grace one syllable ? Why Genevieve 3 syllable? Why one kind of religious name and one romance novel name? Lots of unhappy discussions ahead.

It is highly unlikely your kids will care about any of this

Both are beautiful classic feminine names that have strong religious connections and are currently popular without being super trendy. They're lovely names, and they go together well. If OP likes Faith as much as Grace, then maybe taking into account the same initial would make sense. But otherwise they are a lovely pair.

I can tell you don’t have kids over the age of 4. Or at all.

Twin mom here: I think Grace is unfortunately problematic for twins. Grace is a beautiful name but as a pair you cycle through Hope, Faith, Honor, etc snd it ends up sounding too strongly religious (unless you are of course).

Genevieve Is also beautiful but not a great match with Grace. I see you are thinking Josephine but really most people go by their first names. Good luck and congratulations. Twin names can be difficult!

Genevieve & Josephine seem more like a pair
(but Grace & Faith would not be good - too cutesy)

I agree with this PP. Genevieve Grace and Josephine Faith (or Genevieve Faith and Josephine Grace) are really nice. Similar in style of different from each other. Congrats!

Please don’t name your twin matchy names. Let them be individuals.

OP here, thank you all so much for your input! There are so many unique things to consider with twins, so I especially appreciate the input from parents of multiples about the names. Thanks again!

Please. What child fights about the syllables in their names?!

Don’t use names that start with the same letter.
