My synagogue is not requiring proof of vaccination expressly because they don't want to be in the business of collecting and storing members' private medical info. It will be an honor system, which will mean that some people won't be comfortable attending in case people are lying, but overall, it's about trusting our community and being responsible for the health of our neighbors.
To those confused about OP's church/synagogue thing, I got the impression that OP was talking about her synagogue as if it represents all synagogues (ie, Judaism as a whole will start asking for proof of vaccination) and wants to know if churches (ie, Christianity as a whole) are doing the same. Not that OP was using church and synagogue interchangeably, but trying to compare religious responses to reopening. |
Except that OP asked whether “other churches” were doing the same thing, thus including her synagogue in the category of “churches.” |
+3. The only way this makes sense is if OP is a Messianic - Jew for Jesus - sort. Lon Solomon, come get your person! Otherwise, please don’t call a synagogue a church. K thanks bye. |
