Ment a $100 bill with tip if $20 like 12 bucks |
Didnt you post this and your Uber/door dash/barbering tip experiences in the other thread about the exact same thing? Almost verbatim. Sorry your boss stole from u. That sucks. |
| Oh my god. Stop bringing this up. Tip what you want. |
+1. Also, don’t assume the woman has the tea and the man has the coffee. I can’t tell you how many times this has happened. |

Op, I was a server and dealt with very cheap tippers for years.
I tip 30% to hairstylists, servers and aestheticians. Anyone who is providing me a service. |
| My uncle was a bartender in a place where a multi week sporting event rolled into town every couple of years. For those weeks he worked all the time and made over $1,000 a night in tips. This was 70s/80s so probably would be 10,000 today. I think he was on the side of tips. |
What about personal trainers? Accountants? Lawyers? |
| My favorite bar does not accept tips. Drink prices are outrageous, but I don't care. I wish more establishments would move to no tipping. |
Grow up You can order anything from the menu I used to order glass of water and soup. |
| And what's the tipping inflation on the little screens? The options used to be 15%, 18% and 20%, and now I'm increasingly getting 18%, 20% and 25%. |
Why can't your hairstylist just charge 20% more and be done with it? A lot of people provide services and we don't tip for them. I didn't tip my dentist yesterday even though he's the best. |
When I see it starting at 18% or even higher, I don't tip at all. That's just greedy. |
| TIPS ARE OPTIONAL , if you do not want to pay you just don’t . NOBODY is forcing you . And for those who assume server make less than minimum wage are wrong . They earn tipped min wage which is usually less tan state minimum wage plus tips , employer has to pay , if tipped min wage plus tips doesn’t add up to min wage. But usually servers earn way more than min wage , which I think, they totally deserve it , it’s hard work. I used to work as server . |

If you order small meal, soup, or go out just for coffee. The amount of effort is the same for server as if you ordered something expensive.
You can also sit at the table and talk as long as you like Perhaps a tip should be a standard amount instead |
Who cares? They should pay their taxes. My boss gave me a $250 bonus. It was like $100 once it hit my paycheck. That's life. Most people don't get any bonuses at all, all year round. |
