What US companies are blocking measures to stop genocide in China (or elsewhere outside the US for that matter)?

Companies like Nike and Apple and groups like the NBA and sadly, the MLB have "interests" in China.
If silence is complicity, they are all complicit.

Remember when the NBA took heat for not condemning the genocide?

During an interview on Kelly’s podcast posted Monday, the host pushed Cuban to “condemn the genocide that’s going on right now in China.”

Cuban refused, arguing that such a statement would nearly create headlines. “What’s more important to ask is what actions that I think are important to deal with these issues,” Cuban said. “I’ve been involved in trying to increase the number of slots available for asylum seekers here in the United States.”

Kelly challenged whether supporting asylum in general was a strong enough reaction from the NBA to the specific behavior of the communist Chinese regime.

“Why would the NBA take $500 million-plus from a country that is engaging in ethnic cleansing?” Kelly asked. “Why would the NBA do that?”

“They are a customer. They are a customer of ours,” Cuban responded. “And guess what, Megyn? I’m okay with doing business with China. You know, I wish I could solve all the world’s problems, Megyn. I’m sure you do too. But we can’t. And so we have to pick our battles.”

Maybe that's what a lot of woke people around here need a dose of. True equity in the eyes of the government ... wait till they get a hold of all the white, browns, blacks and non-Chinese yellows. Then you'll see some true equity. You might not like it much, but we'll all be equally abused at least. Take solace in that.

Seriously though. No, China won't overtake the world (whatever that even means).

It is curious to me that after major BLM support this summer, there was no support for Free Tibet, response to what is happening in HK (not sure about Taiwan), and Uighers (sp?). I thought BLM moments were happening globally.

Don't really understand this "Hunger Game" attitude that there can only one winner. Whatever happens to cooperation and compromise? Win-win is a not an option or preferrable solution?

China always tries cast itself as victim, yet has very active campaigns across the globe trying to undermine democracies across the planet from New Zealand, Australia, and Germany, to Canada and the United States. When China gets pushback it then cries victim, or embraces loony Wolf Warrior diplomacy to try to deflect. The world isn't stupid or naive when it comes to China.

The world has largely been asleep at the wheel for the last 40 years while China builds its military, which it based on stolen western technology.

Good thing China doesn't care about what the U.S. does or does not want to allow. They are building a new silk road in Europe, being allies with Russia taking over the markets in a capitalist way, by selling us and the world crap that we are willing to pay for.
Much cheaper than invading countries.

Well, the win-win scenario is the attitude that the US and most of Europe had hopped for. However, it's looking increasingly likely that China does not want to engage in win-win. It's appearing that they want to realize the old dream of heavenly mandate, to once again be the middle kingdom.

China is trying to bully its neighbors in the South China sea and along the Indian border, and they have repeatedly shown they do not care about international norms and ethics.

We've already tried cooperation and compromise, but at some point some of China's abuses need to be stopped. Not everything with China can be win-win.

Yes, so true. Companies are complicit for doing business with corrupt, genocidal countries.
For an example, China constantly buys American businesses and enterprises! Why would they do that? Americans kill people in broad daylight without a trial.
Americans invade countries, and bomb them! They kill hundreds by sending drones to kill. Most of the killed innocent civilians.
Just a few among many offenses.

The US is no saint but China has been taking it to another level with its atrocities.

At least the US hasn’t been trying to commit genocide.

Either way, the only country that believes in the nine dash line in the South China Sea is China, and what China is doing there goes against international law.

It’s in US interests to help the countries there maintain their sovereignty.

The U.S. doesn't have to try to commit genocide. It already did.

I think the PP meant current-day genocide.
