What I don't get is why GF teams don't replace most of the Metro teams-for example, the 06 GF team is really good (state cup champs last year and highly placed in ECNL-R league). Is it because the GA is the weaker league??

MU parent -- and you can ask me why but that's not the point. Have watched many games at many age groups and also at one point had another DC at GFR. Definitely would not say MU is strong, but also disagree with PP that GF teams should replace "most of the Metro teams". All the GFR players who have come to my DD's practices and occasionally guest in games are fine, but they are not starters at MU. Solid help in certain positions and solid bench players. IMO not because they couldn't be, but because they haven't chosen to spend as much time focused on soccer as GA/ECNL players do. Even the weak ones.
