You have to toggle on the right to "College Department Major" and then use the boxes on the left to select Bachelors.

Animal Science had a 86% admissions rate last year.

It's brutal coming from a northern virginia public high school.

For those who were not accepted - this year is turning out to be a VERY tough year - I am not believing some of the stats I am seeing here - somewhat like the disbelief with the stats and rejections or deferrals for UVA this year

PP here. Thanks, she has another fantastic offer from a very different school that became her #1 choice over the past 6 months. The Tech waitlist just hurts a little in the pride department. She will apply there for vet school.

However, we feel bad for DS's friend who had similar stats but was waitlisted for the business school.

It's a weird year.

On a positive note, there are still many, many choices out there. Plenty of other in-state and OOS options to consider. Some small private schools are still accepting rolling apps and with merit, could be financially competitive.

Accepted for Chemistry! This was DD's top choice and she's absolutely thrilled.

NoVA public HS, 4.2W, 1400 SAT, 31 ACT, lots of IB classes (honestly not sure how many?) but not the diploma

PP here. Yeah, but they had no way of knowing that. We even visited last February (pre-COVID) so there was definitely interest. Just one of those things.

DD just got in! OOS with 4.2 Weighted GPA no test (not available to take here) in Biology. She's thrilled - she got in. She was a freshman in NOVA hs. but then we moved CA.

GPA - 3.9/4.4; 1590 SAT; Great ECs.

If this is not yield protection. I don't know what is.. (I know they don't officially practice yield protection.. I have a bridge to sell ya)

DC has admits at other higher ranked schools so no big deal but feel bad for others who were treating Tech as their first choice.
