
I saw a couple of posters mention that four year olds who cry when frustrated are emotionally underdeveloped and should be redshirted. I don't think holding a child back a year will help, because five year olds cry when they're frustrated too. That's just life. |
I was the youngest. I'm a girl, and it was a long time ago, but still:
I did not feel that it was a liability. I was certainly academically able to be in the class my birthday assigned me. I wasn't having social problems, and didn't later. Yeah, times change.... yadda yadda. Please ask yourself if you think this will still be a good choice if puberty happens to hit him early (or really late). It really doesn't matter if he's a bit on the immature side in kinder - believe me, he'll have rivals for that title whose birthdays are far, far, far from the deadline. |
