Would a nanny do a better job than me at parenting?

A nanny will find out what works for them, but they are not going to help you adjust by teaching you anything, OP.

I learned a lot from my night nurse - about soothing, sleep, swaddling etc. I was a breastfeeding mom, so we interacted together in a way you probably don't with a nanny. If OP is having issues with sleep, she absolutely could get some tips from a professional.

If you love the baby, you are fine. Pediatrician visits will bring up stuff too.
