She was so unique in the 90s/early 2000s. Now she seems like everyone else. She isn’t interesting. |
I cannot believe she is FIFTY-ONE! SHEESH! |
I sincerely do not understand the appeal of the blow up doll look. |
THIS. It was supposed to be funny but then it's only funny if we already know they hate each other, but they don't so.... Plus she couldn't land any of the lines well because her face didn't move. I was struck by it to and mentioned to my husband that her face looks plastic. |
And don’t forget hrs of make up |
+1. I thought that's who she was at first. Why is plastic surgery done so badly? You'd think people would know how to do it well by now. |
The ad was pretty funny, though. |
It’s not that it was *bad* work, exactly - she doesn’t look mangled or grotesque - there’s just too much of it so that while she’s certainly pretty, she doesn’t look like herself at all. |
she looks great - just too much lip filler. her acting on the other hand.... |
Her lips are too big, otherwise she looks fantastic. |
Yup agreed. She’s beautiful - just wish she’d lay off the duck lips. |
She is drop dead gorgeous people!!! I'd love to look like that in my 50s!!!! |
Hoping someone can display the image but here is a side by side. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7935367/Gwen-Stefani-fans-insist-looks-unrecognizable-Grammys-accuse-plastic-surgery.html |
Because it's a way of signaling your social class. Think of the people in Marie Antoinette's day-- they wore big powdered wigs not because anyone thought that was their real hair, it was a fashion that showed that they were part of the aristocracy. Same thing with plastic surgery today. |
Agreed. Know who else looked weird and puffed up? Michael Myers |
