You seem like a bitter person and with your legs, please cover them up. |
It just doesn’t get to me. I feel like we haven’t had real winter in like 2 years.
But I am miserable in the summer. |
I think everyone has a different tolerance for temperature. Also, thin people get colder. I freeze at about 70 degrees. I’m that person who always (even in August) has a sweater with me for theaters, restaurants, and shopping. I hate being cold. But, I am fine in 100 degree, humid weather. When we lived in Florida the heat never bothered me. I can run outdoors on the hottest days and be fine. I practice power yoga in a studio heated to 106 with no problem.
My DH is the opposite. He loves cooler weather. Today he had on cargo shorts and a sweatshirt. Florida was tough for him. He doesn’t handle heat well at all. |
It is beyond “jarring and bizarre” that you feel people must dress in a way that suits you. It’s almost funny how weird this is. |
Hot flashes.. My body is a furnace and a coat is miserable. |
Same here. I’d be thrilled if we only had spring, fall, and winter. HATE summer. |
My soon to be teen was walking the dog this morning in a t-shirt. He hates to be warm and he has super low body fat. We coexist during DL by him being in shorts and t-shirt and me with sweater, wool socks and ugg slippers. |
Ditto. I only wear a coat if outside for extended periods. |
So your kids are in charge at your house? If they wear whatever they want, do they eat whatever they want, go to bed whenever they want, say whatever they want? |
While not taking it to the lunatic fringe of flip flops and tee shirts in the weather we're about to face I deliberately
underdress because I'm a candyass who hopes to toughen myself up a bit at a time. Over twenty years there's been visible progress in both fitness and endurance. i regularly walk distances you'd drive for the same reason. |
The cold doesn't bother me anyway! |
I grew up in Wisconsin. What's "cold" to you is nothing to me |
OMG seriously? Why should my child, who runs hot, have to dress uncomfortably? Have you met a middle school boy yet? |
