Are Teslas 'flashy' or do people not really care anymore? Model Y specifically

Anonymous
We have a Y. It’s definitely not flashy. We are boring nerds. The X is fancier, for sure, but still not flashy. I live in a neighborhood full of legit flashy cars. Tesla’s don’t register.

Model Y = ugly imo (classic Porsche owner)

I’d go Audi, I won’t touch anything Musk is involved in.

Model X is even worse btw, Y is more anodyne.

Where do you live? in NW DC/nova/most moco, it is a pretty generic car - same demographic as a toyota highlander buyer. I think it really comes down to do you have a decent spot for the charger (and have a new panel) and/or like the styling.

it is love/hate for most. but nobody thinks it is flashy.

Why won’t you touch anything Musk is involved with?

Tesla is for the masses. Not flashy. If you want flash, think Lambo, Bentley, etc.

Tesla cars use to be flash. Now that they are everywhere, they are sort of like a Honda, just more expensive. I've sat in a few and the interiors feel so cheap, mostly made of plastic. They look nice, but the feel isn't there. I'll wait for an electric BMW.

Great, try actually driving one.
Then you'll realize how laughable it is to compare it to a Honda.

LOL or a BMW which drives like a tank!! We've had both BMWs (X5) and Hondas, and we're now on our third Tesla. We had an X for four years, now have a 3 and a Y. They drive like a dream, flashy or not!
