35-37 year olds -- how long to conceive #2?

Conceived #4 at 35 trying not to LOL. You can still be super fertile at 35.

2.5 to 3 months.

I conceived on the first try at 37. It was my first child (and secondary infertility is not an uncommon thing), but just throwing it out there that estimates about fertility are not rules about fertility. Lots of women conceive naturally and quickly at 35-37 and beyond.

2 months at 34 and 37. I was tracking my temperature and cervical mucus. Also did OPK sticks with the second for good measure.

It took 1 month after going off birth control to conceive my baby at 37 and I know many other similar stories (and then an accidental 4th at 43!)

Uh...no. I had #1 at 23 and #2 at 28 and didn’t even try for either of them (was on BC with both). I’m now 35 trying to have #3 and it’s been 8 months since we started.

I'm 37, just conceived #2 after 2 months of trying.We conceived #1 very easily when I was 33.

We have friends a year younger than us, they conceived #1 easily as well. But after more than a year of trying for #2 they are doing IVF.

I'm 33 trying for #2. It's been 6 months... still trying.

With #1, I conceived at 28 ON THE PILL! so I wasn't even thinking on trying.

Second month of not preventing at 38.

7 very long months for #1 at 34.
Only 3 months for #2 at 36.

You never know, but I believe the "cliff" (it's not even really a cliff) is actually around 37, not 35.

OP why worry yet?
I had my 1st aged 37 and was pregnant again when that baby was 6 months old.
It is possible.

Conceived immediately at 35. Had a miscarriage at 32. First baby born at 33.

What? This is insanity, sure some woman are fertile until their mid forties but many are not, even if they have previously given birth. Read up on secondary infertility.

That's the exception, not the rule.

To the PP who has had two losses this year, have a think if you are doing anything different - are you taking an anti-depressant for example, or any other medicine/supplement? Anti-depressants can cause heart problems in fetuses and so many women take them and don't realize. Is your DH working a lot with his laptop on his lap? The heat will cause his sperm to die or not be as high quality.

Same here. Took about 15 minutes. And then again at 37. Age isn’t always a factor.

1 year of trying, finally got ultrasound, tumor in ovary removed (along with that ovary and tube). Got pregnant two months later. Got pregnant with #3 by “accident” 10 months after #2. Guess the plumbing was clear so got a tubal after 3.
