Mafia connections, cheating with PEDs, cheating drugs, and cheating in multiple world cups, and being banned from football multiple times

Good call here. Tyson had a horrendous childhood (not just poor but totally abused and then abandoned) and also totally changed his life and manner in the past 10-15 years, no question. But the comparison remains appropriate.

Tyson was a young brute force of power in a weak heavyweight era.
Ali and Frazier would have destroyed him. And Ali and Frazier each also were great people in addition to being great athletes

Cruyff And Pele are likewise great persons who transcended their great athleticism and continued to positively influence their world

Maradona is essentially a punk who has great close ball control. As great a player as he was a bad human being.

The only irony here is that Diego was in a team sport.
