DP. I guess you don’t understand how domestic violence works. |
| This entire board has become a bunch of nut jobs. |
| Sounds like an immature a hole |
|
If this was 2016 and a spouse was being yelled at for wanting to watch Trump’s speech, I wonder how the reactions would be.
Obviously not comparable human beings (understatement) but politics can make people nuts |
+1. |
| You married a racist and now you are surprised? Tell him it is your house too and he can get the fu** out! |
+1. Sorry OP, and sorry PP. I can’t imagine having this type of tension with someone over this. There are so many conflicts in this scenario. I wish peace were restored for us. So much disruption in peace, from one man that just escalated chaos. It’s sad. |
DP. I have a friend that lived, breathed and would die for black power. HBCU grad, super woke, beautiful, deep skinned. Married a white man that is conservative. When Obama came in my office, the strange theories and rants trickled out to our surprise. Okay, that’s fine, we don’t live in echo chambers. But then it became an identity issue. Almost brainwashed into believing things that just contradict the person she truly was before this man. We respect her, but people change, and it’s not always in the direction we hope they will. I can also say the same about a very old relative, also black, grew up when John Lewis was marching. She listened to fox all day and is like a completely different person. The internet and social media makes it worse. Suffice to say, who knows how this administration changed people or why. But it’s wrong. The lack of tolerance is wrong, the hate is wrong, the bullying and abuse is wrong. And it is wrong for people to be attacked when they push back against that. |
| 71 million people voted for Trump. I don’t know why we keep calling troll on these posts. |
Exactly. I recognize this as a Never Trumper. This is why Biden spoke of healing. This is why we didn’t trust trump to repair what was breaking. Yeah, we won the election but are we really doing anything if we aren’t unified? No. That is what the enemy wants. Literally it is their device ploy and plan for those that wish Americans harm. Division, distrust, anger, chaos. |
|
Okay, I will bite.
It is apparent that your hubby is just as insane as our soon to be departing Commander-in-Chief. Either he gets intense therapy or you are gone!! |

Two things come to mind. After Trump was in office for a bit, I remember Obama making some remarks about never seeing people so angry when they won. I think he was referring to the Trump rally types.
But let's face it, every damn day Tucker, Laura and Sean stoke it up. I turned to fox a day or so after the election and Hannity was telling every one how they should be angry. And he kept repeating the phrase. This @#$ is the core problem in my mind. If it doesn't stop, the antimask crazy types who plot to kidnap governors and exercise their rights as Americans at Walmart are here to stay. Fox. Bannon's podcast. Alex Jones. Rush. Glenn Beck. They are destroying us. |
| Tell him he has to learn to live in reality or live alone. |
|
| I think you can learn a thing or two from your wise husband. Biden is a terrible man and Kamala is a terrible woman. We all know he isn’t really the president. You should thank yourself for picking a guy with common sense. I’d rather have a president who is a rough speaker but follows through, than a smooth talker who has done nothing for this country. Another example is Obama. He’s easily the worst president in history. |
