I agree. I don’t understand how they can be classified as a news source. And while I understand there have and always will be some fringe outlet for people to vent and be extreme — this is just irresponsible. No other station or type of broadcasting network does this. Fox is great for entertainment, they have great shows and introduced us to the Simpsons. But I mean ... this can’t continue forever. Can it? |
You need a psychiatric evaluation and that's the truth. |
| Our TV hasn’t been on all week. All the nutjobs I know - on both sides - are the ones with all the political drivel running nonstop from their constantly-on TVs. Turn them off and give yourselves a break. It’s been a tough road, folks. OP - give your husband a break. Those on the losing side of this are going to need some time to process all this, and you sort of seem like you’re rubbing his face in it. |
| Worst troll ever. |
Didn't CNN do this everyday Trump was in office? Didn't they act like riots weren't happening and encourage the violence? They did. I don't support any news station. The media is an issue for everyone. |
You do with your TDS. You guys are so obsessed with Trump. |
God, we knew Trumpers were giant, bloated toddlers, but since Tuesday (or Wed/Thurs?), the national collective tantrum is beyond hilarious. And they call US "snowflakes." |
For real. |
|
You should pull out your favorite toy and moan “Woooollllfffff”.
That will push him out the door. |

This sucks, I’m sorry OP. My FIL is a Trump supporter and shut off CNN when we were at their home after RBG passed away. Then told DH this weekend that they’d only come to our house under a “no politics rule.”
Being married to that must be unbearable. No advice, just sorry. |
NP. You do need a psychiatric evaluation. |
Mass media is terrible in the country. Biased and terrible. Even the expats in DC can admit that. Why can’t the liberals? |
Sounds good, no politics rule on house visits. Quite mature. Why aren’t you considering it? Schools have it. |
I don’t bring up politics to him. However, I don’t like the implication that he can tell me what to watch in his house, and also dictate what is spoken in my house. In addition, I am deeply disturbed by the fact that he dismisses my hatred of trump as political, when it’s not, and frames the nature of our conflict as a political one. It’s not, I’m moderate, and it’s about character and morals. The fact that he can so vehemently defend his support of trump is appalling to me. He demonizes my views, tells me to stifle them, when in reality, he’s the one who should be ashamed of who he supports and what that represents. |
Listen, I hate trump as much as you, but you need to cool it. You FIL has every right to dictate what station is on in his house. The "no politics" request is just that, a request. And it's a good one actually, for all concerned. You know what his politics are and yet you tuned into CNN in his house, that tells him (and the rest of us) that you don't shy away from conflict. Hence his need for the request. |
