I am a lifelong democrat who was fully ready to vote for him for POTUS. Does that count?

+1 OP was never a Hogan supporter. HOGAN for President 2024!

Can you not read? I WAS a Hogan supporter. No more. I will not vote for him in 2024 or in any other election.

No one cares. Maybe you can support the transgender goat herder from Takoma Park who will run against him.

As a senator, Hogan has Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore. Mfume easily won Cummings’s seat but Klacik gave him got 27% of the vote. As the extremes of defunding the police continue to divide Baltimore and the power if they shrinking black minority dwindles, Baltimore will like Hogan even more. MoCo May be less important to Hogan

All Trump supporters are bad people. Why are you surprised?

Can't say the same for certain other Republicans.

This was me plus I'd go one further to say I was ready to vote for him. Until I learned he threw away his vote in the most important election of our lifetimes. All talk and no action.

OP

Stop being so dramatic. MD is a stone cold lock to go Blue anyway. He tried to walk a tight rope and played it a little too cute, but it doesnt matter at all.
You were never going to vote for him anyway, and you know that.

Um, yes I was. I posted all over DCUM how much I fantasized Hogan running for president. Not now.

Hogan is not, and never was, a viable presidential candidate.

Op you’re kind of nuts.

If I still lived I MD I wouldn’t vote for him for the senate because we need a D senate and you can’t just focus on your one state for that position. But I would pretty happily vote for him for president in a few years.

YEah it's not like MD is a swing state. His vote really doesn't make a difference.

I think Hogan has a good chance of being president. Moderate Republican. He'll get all the R votes since they wont' vote D anyway. If the Dems put up someone who is seen as leftist, then you'll get some Ds and a lot of I's voting for Hogan.

That's their key to win -- run a moderate Republican, and hope the Dems run a left-wing candidate.

He's just another R jerk.

Lose-lose. I was all for Hogan as a moderate Republican, and I'm a Democrat. No more. He won't win without moderate Dems voting for him. After Trump gets dumped, the nation won't vote for another mean spirited name caller like Hogan -- anyone who supported Trump won't like Hogan for all the (hot air) negative comments he made about him, and people who disliked Trump won't like Hogan because he didn't bother voting against him. Lose-lose. Come up with a better moderate R candidate and get back to us. Hogan's crossed himself off the list.

Dem here who can't wait for 2024 and WILL vote for Hogan when he runs. You fools are making a big deal over literally something that would not have made a damn difference. MD is blue people! Always have been.

I was disappointed in the vote too. I'm glad he spoke out against Trump's dangerous rhetoric.

Hogan is very popular but I don't think he deserves it. Poor leadership on Covid. Purple Line is a disaster. He is more Trumpian than people think. He is just much smarter and know how to target his divisiveness.

He'd never get my vote anyway but voting for Reagan was cowardly and stupid.

He will have problems getting out of the primaries unless he makes a hard turn.
