Okay, so I hear what you're saying for adults. It would obviously be passe to wear blackface, but for my DD who is in elementary school and is Caucasian (non-Hispanic) can she wear a bronzer to look more exotic? |

No, it's the same for kids as adults. Trying to darken your skin is pretty much never a good idea. Makeup would be appropriate, since Cleopatra used cosmetics (intense green and blue eyeshadow, dark, heavy eyeliner, mascara, brow-darkener, and red lipstick and rouge. She also wore nail polish and hennaed designs on her hands. But bronzer to "look more exotic"? Nope. |
