Ladies, what is your COVID Quarantine getting dressed routine?

Roll out of bed, sweats or bathrobe on to greet my middle schooler for breakfast at 7. Too early for me to eat, but I have a cup of coffee while he has breakfast, and we have a nice chat before anyone else is up and about. Then I go to shower when he starts class.

After my shower, I get dressed for the day - might be sweats, leggings, jeans, or a dress, depending on my mood. Partially dry my hair so that it's not dripping, moisturizer. No makeup unless I have bigger video presentations to make (not just regular Webex meetings).

Shower, let hair air dry
Put on moisturizer
Put on comfy clothes

I just keep a lightweight blazer or cardigan near my chair. Even a plain scoop-neck t-shirt looks fine over video conference if it has a blazer over it. They can only see me from the chest up, so nobody knows how silly I look in sweatpants and a blazer!

Now that I have a MS-er, I get up at 7 and make sure he is up and moving. Then I head out for my morning run/walk, come home and shower (washing hair/shaving every third day or so), and then get dressed in comfy clothes that are a step up from workout clothes. Something along the lines of v-neck t-shirt, long cardigan, ponte pants. If I have video calls then I spend 5 minutes putting on minimal makeup - cream blush, lipstick, brow tamer, pencil shadow and mascara.

I have mostly been wearing scoop neck solid t-shirts and a cardigan. Those read professional on a call, but are more relaxed than what I would wear to the office.

I work out mid morning so wash face. Mascara/eye make up. Active wear.

I shower later and will put on normal clothes if I’m driving kids to sports later in the day (even make up occasionally). If I have nothing but walking the dog, I go into clean activewear/lulu.

I have always worked from home so have a lot of casual clothes now that are decent looking.

Oh- my job requires no face meetings/zoom calls just a computer or telephone. If we do have an online meeting most of us stay off camera. Mine faves the ceiling. I have always hated face time and video calls...been doing them for over a decade.

But really.

I get up and put on yesterday's knickers, a pair of sweaty leggings, a sports bra and a shirt that has seen at least one day of use already. I hassle my family until they go out and hike about the neighborhood for at least 30 minutes. This week I have switched from sandals to hiking boots and I am wearing clean socks every day but that may change.

I come home, shower, throw on a clean pair of leggings and something that covers my top half, plus slippers. I start working. If video is needed, I run a swipe of the lipstick I keep on my desk these days (next home office upgrade will be a hand mirror).

I don't put on sunscreen unless I will be outside in the daytime. Before 9AM doesn't count. But I do moisturize. Mostly my legs, though.

Thank you. I thought I was going crazy that no one else thought that odd. I had to read it twice because I thought no way I read that right.

What the hell is so fetid and wrong with your body that you smell after 24 hrs of walking around your home? You might want to talk to a doctor if you have a "stench" after 24 hours. Sounds like a medical or hygiene issue, potentially dietary. Gross. Glad I don't turn into a garbage bin daily.

Get up, wash face, brush teeth. Do some work while in PJs and drinking coffee. Then change into workout clothes mid morning and go for run or peloton or weightlifting. Shower, put on vitamin c serum and moisturizer. Wash hair every other day. Put on comfortable clothes to work in (but not sweats). If have zoom calls scheduled, do some light makeup too, but otherwise not.

Lol. So defensive. Why is it so hard for you to keep up basic hygiene? Do you brush your teeth every day or only on the few days a week you shower?

A daily shower for an adult is a must.

Totally nasty that some don’t do that.

Agree. Unless you have a newborn, you should be showering daily.

My routine:
Wake up and exercise. Get kids breakfast and ready for school and drop them off. Come back home and shower, put on jeans and a button up shirt or t shirt, put a bit of product in hair air and let air dry(curly), no make up. I do skincare routine morning and night.

Full Make Up
Usually some type of solid colored long sleeved work out top
Sometimes a nice top
Running shorts
EVERY DAY

Now that my kid is in virtual school, I do shower again right when I wake up. Do my face routine (vit c, moisturizer). I've started occasionally doing a few things to my hair, but not much.

Leggings, top, I've added a sweater on the cooler days.
