Why does this no name mommy blogger have a 900+ page hate thread on GOMI?

Haha I was in an online group with her a few years ago. She said a lot of unpleasant things (fat phobic, elitist, etc.).

It always surprises me when someone runs a decorating blog and they have no skills. Like her only skills are adding things to her shopping cart and hiring people to do work. She can't sew drapes, wallpaper, paint, refinish furniture, decorate etc. Nearly everyone else in that realm has mad skills. I'm a decorator and am incredibly skilled at things like that (I also can add things to my shopping cart as well as she does), as are most of the people around me. I'm not saying this out of jealousy either, it just boggles my mind how she doesn't learn any skills. Normally people who like to decorate also are crafty with an eye for style (I think she's missing her own style too- her house is pretty basic B) She made a dollhouse for her daughter and it was a huge disaster. I also couldn't get why she couldn't refinish her new dressers for the daughter's room too.

This is what most blog readers want though. "Where did you get that?" has got to be the most common question asked.

So I guess she’s been Extremely Online for a long period of time and has attracted some long term hate-followers. Interesting.

I’m not going to judge anyone for a hate or train wreck follow, I have a few of those myself (remember McK Mama?!) But Veronika’s Blushing is just SO BORING. I guess it’s different if you’ve followed her for a long time but from an outside observer it’s gray and white as far as the eye can see.

Yeah I don’t follow her but I know she has a blog. She’d occasionally complain about trolls to us (FB group).

Anyway, I’d assume some of her real personality (which can be mean) slips through via Stories and that’s what people latch onto.

Did you see the reddit site I posted? There are PLENTY of people who are annoyed enough over the GOMI website that I wouldn't take the annoyed comments about GOMI here to mean the angry bloggers have actually shown up to this thread. Seriously, sheesh, have you been to GOMI? Seen how it has changed over the years? Seen the owner condescend and rant at her members? Then seen her beg for money? Seen the owner's Instagram page? Anyway the point is I'm certainly not whoever this blogger is and I doubt anyone else here is either, and I also can rag on GOMI if I want to, it's part of the post. :p

After reading DCUM for years, I think there are very few people who aren't weird, there are just varying degrees of skill at hiding the weird in public and varying degrees of letting the weird flag fly when you are online anonymously.
