Is it time to give up my BMW? If so, for what?

+1 This is an absolute necessity.

We have a BMW but needed bigger so got the VW Atlas. Drives ok but nothing like our beemer. Looked at the Volvo xc vehicles but couldn't justify the price.

Sorry, not the later model ones. The ones pre-2011 used to be very solid (minus the head gasket issue), the ones post-2011 have more issues.

I am done with Subaru. Not reliable.

Dump it and get an AWD sienna.

Driving will be less hostile in a Toyota than a BMW. BMW and Mercedes drivers have a bad reputation and a lot of people will go out of their way to cut you off, or block you in. Or maybe that's just me.

An oil change, battery or tires way way less. A very late low mileage one under full warranty is what I bought. Lots of low mileage Cadillacs are for sale

I also owned a Mercedes. Oil changes and parts were expensive.

Want to be cool. Ford is bringing back Bronco for 2021 that will be the hot vehicle

I have a (very old) BMW and want a Cadillac for next car. My DH isn’t onboard

Agree with the price aspects. I have a 2008 bmw 5 series that is my daily driver. Take it to Eurasian in Tysons or the shell in Mclean for service. Costs maybe 1500/year to keep it running. My others cars, which are are newer, cost that much for just one service. Get another quote from another mechanic.

This could have been written by me. Love my Cadillac and so happy! Not going back to BMW or Mercedes. People may say they don’t last as long but so far so good at 85K miles and no major repairs - only routine maintenance. And funny enough my husband is looking to get rid of his BMW and I showed him the Ford Bronco. I remember them back in the day and would love him to get one!
