My kid is 4 and interrupts my work complaining daily that he’s bored. Forget playing with or teaching or engaging him. I feel bad I have to basically go play by himself or the older sibling, and ignore him (apart from talking to him for a few minutes throughout the day). It’s tough to juggle work with a four year old, as their attention spans are still short and they can’t go read books or something like older kids.
But if your DH is high risk and elderly parents take care of your younger kid, I would read today’s WaPo article on Monday’s CDC report (or read any news outlet’s version) and determine if you really want your family to take on that risk. It’s definitely not an easy choice. |
