+1. I prefer the recorded classes because they have metrics showing you what your cadence and resistance should be in case you missed what the instructor said. |

I wasn’t an early adopter (just got my bike right at the beginning of covid) but it has been so good for my mental health that I don’t see stopping anytime soon. I’ve been riding for 9 weeks and have only missed three days.
The benefit to my physical health honestly comes second to the mental health piece but has been awesome too. I don’t know how much I’ve lost because our scale is broken but so do know I’m down a size or two which is a fun bonus. |

Not an early adopter, but I’ve had my bike for over two years and ride it nearly every day. I also do the strength and yoga classes, but not as regularly as I ride, maybe 2-3 times a week. I have gone as long as 3 weeks without riding a couple of times when I was sick or traveling a lot, but have always wanted to get back to it afterward.
I had done spinning before, but not regularly because (a) it was inconvenient to get to a studio; and (b) paying $30 a class was ridiculous. I find the Peloton classes far more engaging than other spin classes I’ve taken at SoulCycle or Zengo, and I attribute that to the metrics. It’s much harder for me to lay back when I’m comparing myself to my previous rides. |
| I bought my bike 2 years ago. For the first few months I was into it, then I started to get back to going to the gym and other activities. I decided I liked getting out of the house rather than staying home to work out. I contemplated selling it, but am SO GLAD I did not. Now I use it all the time and will probably never go back to a gym or any type of exercise studio. |
| I've only had mine 15 months but I ride 5-7 times a week. I never really did spin before that either. |

NP here with some questions.
1) Are there a gazillion options to choose from, or is it pretty easy to filter down to a few depending on your preferences? I'm talking about whichi class to take, and what other programs (yoga, strength, etc.) to supplement with. 2) Does watching a screen while riding bother you? I have a similar feature on my treadmill and HATE it. Watching in the instructor run and bob while I'm also running and bobbing makes me dizzy/gives me a headache. |
Yes, there are a gazillion options but there are also pretty good filters. You view classes first of all by type, so cycling is not mixed up with strength or yoga. Then you can filter by instructor, length, type of class (e.g. intervals or climb), and type of music. The music filter isn't great but it can narrow things down. On the screen (but not in the app) you can also search for a specific artist, band or type of music. Watching a screen while riding doesn't bother me at all. I've never heard of this concern before but if you don't like it on your treadmill I'm not sure you'd like it on a bike! |
| I can't watch anything when I'm on the treadmill. TV or even watching people outside makes my balance feel off. But I have no problem watching the instructors on the bike. |

I've had the bike for a year and a half and before that I used a cheaper spin bike with the app for another year and a half, so I've been a Peloton member for 3 years.
I do some type of a Peloton workout at least 5x a week. I do the rides, the runs or bootcamps using the app with an old treadmill, and the strength training classes. After all this time I'm still excited about it and motivated to workout every day. The instructors are super motivating, and there is an instructor for just about every preference. I can't say that I would recommend buying the bike if you have never taken an indoor cycling class before, but I know plenty of people have done it. I would say if you like indoor cycling and are committed to working out already, you will definitely get a lot out of it. |
| I’ve had it for 2 years still love it. |
| Serious question for those who use it regularly - do you look it? I mean like runners can run every day but still look chunky. Do you look like a barre or soul cycle instructor riding every other day? |
| I'm waiting on them to start shipping Peloton Treads again...and it would be nice if we could watch Netflix on it. I'm not asking for much. |
Is there a little notched shelf or anything in front of the screen that you can put an ipad on? |
I think there is a hack you can do to make this happen- it is an android tablet so there is a way to do it. Though apparently if you do then you void the warranty on the screen. I have a thing like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L67Y0I4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that I hang over my bike screen and put my ipad in it if I watch to watch netflix. |

We've had it for 2+ years. I do love it, but I need variety so I mix in lifting classes and yoga from other sources. Peleton has those classes too. We'll definitely be keeping our subscription indefinitely. We also belong to a traditional gym that is temporarily closed. I like that for the live group ex classes. Will be keeping that too.
Our Peleton bike gets used by our entire family of 4 so it's an excellent value. |
