Does MU have enough 07s and 06s that the 08s and 09s wont have to play up?

Yes, the partnerships have fixed the issue with lack of young player pipeline.

How is the issue fixed?

Because they have a player pool to work with and draw talent from.

There were a few Arlington girls looking a MU before the shut down and Arlington is closer to MU practice vs Stoddert or Potomac. It just seems like the younger ages 08 and 07 are not that excited about Mclean. What’s going on with that?

How many 08’s did they have playing up? Are they dropping to at age?

Any word on coach for 08 at McLean? Perhaps that is a factor?

Heard Jaon was possibility. Also might move a boys coach over. Clyde, Haytham and Nadir are taking the oldest 5 age groups.

Mclean might be the club that will rise from this. They will have a strong 08 07 06 team

Its amazing how a small badge that says ECNL will do

Would it really matter? You think with ECNL there would be a rush to mclean. Parents will put their kids with bad coaches if it is the first team in the right league. It seems there is interest in MU. Maybe it’s there is no existing team so everyone is coming in fresh? Who know?

Who is saying there is interest in MU NOW? There was when they had ID sessions, but that was before many different kinds of poop hit the fan.

There isn’t any significant migration to ECNL at this stage. With so much up in the air now players who had a particular club in mind and had gained traction would find it difficult to change midstream and reach out to a new club sight unseen.

Will players move to ECNL? Probably, but most will not this year. There is no rush, especially for 08’s and there is no promise for the fall anyways. Therefor simple inertia will be the main deciding factor with a uncertain future.

If what you say is true then Metro is in a world of trouble. Why would any player leave a club and go to a unknown club like Metro with everything going on when they are comfortable at their current club? All other clubs with GA or ECNL has teams to fill that void but not Metro

Because they were already in the process of leaving for Metro. That was their momentum and they are unlikely to change that now.

You sound like a idiot for ECNL there will be no "migration" no one is rushing to ECNL but with Metro they had players who were already in the process of moving? Hey I hope the best for you and your team I hope Metro can actually field a 07 or 08 team if Arlington wanted to they can make everyone on Red in GA but Metro doesn't have that luxury GOOD LUCK

I said no migration overall. If a player was in the process of leaving their club for another club that will continue.

If a player was not interested in leaving a club for another club they will likely stay put.

If a player was considering moving from a ECNL team to a DA THEY may pause and stay but most other scenarios will play out as they were already for most age groups.

There is no rush for 08’s to be rushed. Just forge ahead with their previous plans and re-evaluate next year.

This isn’t pro or anti ECNL. It is just a spot that people are in due to circumstances beyond their control.

Why would 08 Arlington players leave? They got Mo for a coach who is supposed to be amazing. Switch to McLean for who? Haytham? Jaon? This is a developmental year. That would be a huge mistake. Stay with Mo for 2 years and you will be light years ahead of anyone at McLean and can easily switch over later. In fact if I were a McLean 08 I would switch to Arlington if it's not too late. Play for Mo on a reasonable sized team or play on a 30 person team?
