Since when do DC police enforce any sort of traffic infraction other than DUI?

What is the legal standard for DUI for marijuana?

I've mentioned this before but lots of storefronts in Colorado that were empty for years after the last recession became booming dispensaries and their economy really took off after legalization.

It's literally inevitable at this point. State and local governments are getting absolutely destroyed and major deficits are going to be huge problems for years. MJ is an easy way to boost tax revenues and stop putting peoples' lives at risk for what is ultimately a harmless product.

Marijuana smokers are having worse COVID outcomes.

Then don't smoke it. *REAL* legalization will allow users to easily consume MJ without smoking it.

Not exactly sure, at this point, the standard is to try to prosecute cases and see how they are handled by the justice system.

- the law was passed with the intent to stop marijuana distribution in the District.

1. I don't see the rich and powerful caring about the spirit of laws.

2. Wrong. That was not the intent. The intent was to stop locking up nonviolent people and clogging the courts with cannabis offenses. The people and government of DC would like tax revenue from the booming trade but Congress has stood in the way.

Re: 2: congress passed the law prohibiting “sale” of marijuana in DC.

DC city counsel was the body who legalized pot.

A new "breathalyzer" for THC is nearly ready for widespread use.

So when you "order", you say I would like 4 bracelets (that cost 50 bucks each) and as a "gift" you get your weed.

Some don't even play the game and just straight up take orders.

No one cares, there are real problems to address.

Wait - I am still struggling with “intent” here:

- can’t you stil he charged with a crime for not following the law’s intent?

I mean, it’s clear that congress intended to stop sales, so by going this “gift” route, you are not complying with the law’s intent.
