Virgin River on Netflix. Super cheesy, but makes you feel really good as out people. |
Golden Girls is a great suggestion |
Avonlea, also known as Road to Avonlea? Not sure where you would find it now. It's old but so are a bunch of other recommendations. |
I agree. Gilmore girls is one of my all time favorite shows. |
I've been watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and it's wonderful. Just what you're looking for, OP. It's also a visual feast. Very uplifting and just the thing to watch in these times.
Also, Jane the Virgin. I've always said that it's a clinic in healthy relationships. As a telenovela there is a certain absurdity to the plots, but the human interactions and relationships are so honest and authentic that it packs an extra emotional punch. In a good way. It's also a visual treat. Both of these shows have wonderful color in the sets, clothes, etc., that just make them really fun to watch. |

Hmm. |
OP here - I actually love those shows, too!! This is a great thread ![]() |
The Great British Baking Show always makes me feel better about humanity. The people are so consistently kind and supportive. It's definitely a feel good show for me. |
Perfect Harmony - the main character is a curmudgeon, but the show is all about kindness and community spirit. Kim's Convenience - there's a fair amount of snark, but the ultimate love and kindness between the family members and beyond is good. |
The Little Couple. |
One Day at a Time (the remake). Such a feel-good show!
Also Jane the Virgin. If you like This is Us, Parenthood. |
Was just coming on here to say this. That and Call the Midwife always comfort me. |
Another vote for Call the Midwife.
Try it -and let us know what you think. |
