No. Don’t exaggerate.

I’m not exaggerating a bit. I see people walking by my house all day long. I haven’t been outside in over a week. If I had a gun, I’d be tempted to start shooting them for being outside when we’re all supposed to be avoiding everyone.

You sound sane.

I am quite sane. As evidenced by the fact that I’M actually doing my part to stop this epidemic. If you and everyone else did what I’m doing, this thing would be over with in 3 weeks. But half measures won’t work. And every a-hole I see walking down the sidewalk in front of my apartment is undermining the sacrifices I’ve made. It’s disgusting. And yes, the police should be enforcing this in the most extreme way possible.

What’s your alternative? Just let everyone get infected and have 30 million people die?

Do it my way, and only a few thousand stupid people need to die. Do it your way, and it’s 10% of the whole country.

But I’m the insane one, according to you.

Actually, it wouldn’t be over in 3 weeks. Let’s say person A got infected just before social distancing started. 14 days later, person A is sick. Person A family are now at risk and are self quarantining - so at least another 2 -3 weeks for their illnesses to run the course. That’s 5 weeks at least. And then what happens, everyone just goes back to their normal life, but what about other cities? The big mistake was not addressing it earlier and doing it at a national scale. The two weeks that you are talking about could have worked back in February. Now, we’re in for a longer ride. So, do not sit at the window hating those outside. Join them within a reason and with social distancing and with strong understanding that this could easily stretch to June.

Stop posting on DCUM, Mr President. You’re not welcome here.

You are right it can be over in three weeks. We shut everything down for the magic three weeks. But then we also need to close the borders when we open back up. No one comes in with a mandatory 3 week waiting period. That includes people walking across our southern and northern borders as well as people arriving on plains. How are you going to enforce this 3 week shutdown globally so that everyone is cured?

NP: show me one credible scientist who is telling people to stay inside their homes 24/7. I’ll wait.

You need to get out and get some fresh air. Exercise. Outdoors. Just stay away from people. It isn’t that hard.

A daily dose of fresh air, vitamin D and exercise will help restore a bit of your sanity and help your anger management issues.

Yes, and your comment was so intelligent.

You’re literally advocating to lockdown a country of 350 million and impose martial law. In a democratic nation. You’re in the wrong country

Actually you’re in the wrong country if you want to sacrifice people’s lives so that the richest families don’t lose money. Fortunately for all of us, we don’t live in a Feudal society in the Middle Ages.

Apparently, someone thinks he is a feudal knight with the authority to kill people who aren't following the king's edicts correctly.

If person A gets the virus at the least he will start seeing the symptoms. He/ She and the family can then stay quarantined till they all recover. this virus is mainly spreading because the symptoms are visible only after 1 to 2 weeks. we can break the virus chain by locking the country at the same time. Law and order should be made more strict, because some are taking this not very seriously.

'Looking a lot more like New York': Maryland governor warns of massive coronavirus outbreak in DC-area
by Madison Dibble March 29, 2020 02:01 PM

"The Washington, D.C.-area is on its way to becoming a coronavirus hot spot comparable to the one in New York City, according to the governor of Maryland.

The D.C.-metropolitan area, which consists of the city and parts of Maryland and Virginia, has started to see exponential growth in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases, but the outbreak has remained much smaller than the one in New York City. President Trump has expressed optimism that the area could reopen in a few weeks, but Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan warned the region's outbreak could become severe.

"Look, I think the virus is gonna dictate the time frame, and we're gonna follow the advice of the scientists and doctors like Dr. Inglesby, who you just had on a moment ago. He’s on our task force. But no, we don’t see any way that we’re going to be opening back up in a couple of weeks," Hogan said.

"The Washington-metropolitan area has, Maryland, D.C., and Virginia, quadrupled in the past week, and we see that continuing to grow exponentially, and we think in two weeks around Easter we're going to be looking a lot more like New York," he added.

Hogan said there is "no question" the outbreak could start to mirror the one in New York City.

"In spite of the fact that we’ve taken some of the most aggressive steps in the country on social distancing and we were out front ahead of nearly every state on some of these things we’ve been taking unprecedented actions every day for the past three weeks, it’s continuing to grow at really kind of frightening paces," Hogan said.

"We think it’s gonna be worse in two weeks, not better," Hogan explained.

As of Sunday, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia had a combined total of 2,471 confirmed cases with Maryland carrying more than half of those cases. The three areas had a total of 37 deaths. New York has more than 59,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 965 related deaths."

I don’t think you understand what shelter in place means.

.003% of Montgomery County residents are infected. Do you think the entire state should be shut down? The economy destroyed?

Do you think the richest families are the ones being most financially affected by this? Open your eyes.

Hogan is a politician and wants to be seen as a leader no matter what. He would like MD to be a hot spot like NYC. He wants it. He's a moron.

+1 He's jealous of all the attention Cuomo is getting and is trying to get it for himself. There does seem to be a distinct desire for a certain political persuasion to want this to get worse.

It is not illegal to be outside even in stay at home states like Michigan

And no, just because you are crazy and jealous, you don't get to start shooting people.
