Even one person that isn’t a household member can easily spread it from one family to another while asymptomatic. It’s just not worth it. My 16 and 19 year old aren’t hanging out with friends. They understand that it’s life or death foe some people right now and they aren’t even giving me a hard time about it.

Most of us are somewhere in between sterile Bubble Boy conditions and Spring Break Beach Partier. We aren't flying or attending movies, going out to eat at restaurants or riding mass transportation. We are going to our neighborhood retail and grocery stores, interacting with familiar faces, avoiding big crowds and avoiding travel. You are free to imprison yourselves if you want to. Most of us are choosing a middle ground. It's simply not reasonable to expect people to stay locked up in their homes until a vaccine is available. Some of us will get this virus and MOST of us will not get that sick from it. Thank goodness! |

My college kid is doing the same thing. While my kids are home, they know people returning from Florida who are posting how they shouldn’t have to quarantine because they “feel fine”... I wish we were under some mandatory order here to protect us from the stupid people! |
